Didn't get to use the electric tea kettle as I would have had to hold the lid open to fill it. Seemed as though there should have been a mechanism to hold it open. Sadly, I never got to use it. The lid also was floppy and not secure at the handle. It was a lovely looking white kettle. Target was great with the return.

Beware

I bought this 2 weeks ago & went cheapest but well rated. It’s very basic no temp etc, just on off button, no worries but it’s now in a loop, it’s empty and turning itself on (clicks on every 10 min). And is radiating heat , no one is near it we could hear it clicking from the living room & figured it out. So scary, unplugged and took it off its base. Will be e-wasting it. Spend the extra $$ & get a better one.

Stainless steel interior

The interior and spout are all food grade stainless steel so no water in the kettle is touching plastic, which is what I was looking for. The exterior is plastic. Boils quickly and auto shuts off, works as expected.

It works

We only had have this kettle for a few days, so far it functions as described, the internal is almost all stainless steel, including the lid, however, the latchs and lock of the lid are made of plastic parts. Also, only has 90 days product warranty.
