[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These ziplock freezer bags are the perfect size for our family. Before trying these 1/2 gallon size ziplock bags, I always used the gallon size. The gallon size were too large for our family when freezing food for our size family of 5. The half gallon are perfect when I’m preparing meat for meals for five people. I tend to buy large cuts of meat and slice myself, to save money. The ziplock half gallon bags hold the perfect amount for a meal. These bags have a grip like lip on the top, making them very easy to open. They also have a double ziplock, ensuring your bag is zipped and keeping your food safely sealed. They also have a pleated bottom.

I put several pieces of bread in one to freeze and had plenty of space. This size is so helpful and has the same sturdy quality as a gallon size freezer bag. This is a very neat design for just the right storage size. I was always getting gallon bags an it was too much bag and the quart was not enough. So this is like the perfect size. My only complaint is with the folds it makes it harder to clean and reuse. I like to clean and reuse the bags that I can, so I'm not creating a lot of plastic waste. Other than that these are perfect definitely recommend.

I don’t think they are a necessary need for bigger family’s but if it’s for a single person or two people they might have more of a use for them. Work as well as the full gallon bags.
