Only one I wear
I have been using this eyeliner for years. I wouldn’t say that it is smudge-proof, but I love it. I find that it’s creamy and easy to apply. It covers well, and I honestly don’t have an issue it lasting all day. Occasionally I might need to clean up an edge because of a smudge, but it really is a great product for the value.

Great product but not for me
This was the first time I'd tried an eyeliner. This product was easy to open and apply. The eyeliner is retractable, so it's easy to keep your eyeliner shape fresh. I tested the eyeliner before my initial wearand i'm glad I did. The eyeliner applies evenly. It was a bit stiff and waxy since it was new. I was able to apply it without any real issue. But a few minutes after applying it, my eyelid began to tingle and feel itchy. It turns out I had a reaction to the eyeliner. I wore it for a few hours, and by the time I removed the liner, I noticed my eyelid had swollen a bit. I don't know if it was a reaction to something in the eyeliner itself or if it was a sensitivity to the waterproof element.

THE WORST
Every few years I forget that I have previously tried this product and repurchase it. However, after its first application I am immediately reminded of ALL its faults. Smudge-y (despite its name) and yet somehow IMPOSSIBLE to remove with even the strongest makeup remover. What I hate the most, however, is how loose the actual product is within the plastic applicator - because it wiggles loosely within the barrel, it is impossible to apply in a precise line. Truly the worst eyeliner on the market, and maybe the worst product in the entire elf product line.

This worked really well in my tightline/waterline at first, but after owning it for about a month it dries out horribly and becomes impossible to use! I use this daily and still have about 1/3 of the product left but it doesn't draw on my eye at all. It works okay on the back of my hand but on my eyelid it skips, and on my waterline it doesn't deposit anything at all.

e.l.f.'s no budge retractable liner is incredible. It is smooth and provides complete coverage. It lasts a little longer than a regular eye pencil that you sharpen (although I do use both). I have purchased this product multiple times and I would recommend this product. Thank you e.l.f.

smudges a lot
easy to apply and nice shape (i guess?) but LORD does this smudge! i have to put finishing powder all over it to make it LOCK IN and even then, it only last 40 minutes before smudging again. if it didn't smudge, 5/5. after a few hours of wear, it looks like i have eyebags and i didn't put eyeliner.
