My first impression before we even get to the shampoo is that the packaging is a little bit difficult to try to squeeze the product out of. I thought the bottle was too thick but I was pleasantly surprised with how well this shampoo lathers and in fact only needed to use about half of what I normally use which makes this product a great value for me because with hair that is super thick and waist length it takes a lot of shampoo to wash it. I love that it didn’t weigh down my hair and was surprised by how bouncy and full of life my hair looked afterwards so this product is a win for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kristin Ess Peptide restore strengthening shampoo lathered very nicely upon applying to my hair. The instructions were spot on and it only took just one use for me to notice the difference in volume that my hair had. The packaging also makes it easy to store in any shower caddy.

Doesn’t lather very easily and smells like har dye, even after rinsed out, conditioned, and hair is dry. Love the Kristin Ess Curl line, but this one is terrible.

This peptide restore line has worked wonders for my bleach blonde hair. It cleans, shines, strengthens and has made my hair viral again. No, it does not lather much but that does not mean it’s not working. Rinse hair well before applying shampoo at the roots, let sit a good few minutes before rinsing. As for the conditioner, apply on all the ends of your hair only (without applying much to the root) which will cause hair to soften and fall. Let sit a good few minutes before rinsing but do not over rinse your hair. Follow by using the other products from this line such as the bond recovery treatment.

Does not clean hair. It leaves a very greasy, dirty feeling even with 2 washes

It’s sulfate-free, vegan, and makes my hair feel softer, shinier, and stronger. The honey-cream scent is sweet but not overpowering. The bottle looks pretty, though it’s a bit awkward to squeeze. Works great on my fine-to-medium hair, but I can see how it might be too drying for coily textures.

Ever since I started using this product I’ve had major hair loss like I’ve never had before. At first I thought it was me but it continued much longer than normal. Will never use this product line again.

This shampoo smells nice, not a fresh scent, but more of a amber musk scent. However it has made my hair tacky and it doesn’t feel clean after lathering up, even in the shower I feel like a need another shampoo after washing with it. I usually wash my hair every other day but this shampoo doesn’t allow for that. It’s kinda disappointing.
