CeraVe AM Face Moisturizer SPF 30 is an oil-free daily facial moisturizing lotion with SPF 30, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide that offers UV protection, and contains ceramides to help restore the skin's barrier. This CeraVe face moisturizer with sunscreen is a hydrating facial lotion that spreads easily, is absorbed quickly, and leaves a non-greasy finish. Non-comedogenic face sunscreen won't clog pores, so is suitable for all skin types. This CeraVe sunscreen moisturizer features three essential ceramides, hydrating hyaluronic acid and soothing niacinamide, plus patented MVE Delivery Technology to supply much-needed moisture throughout the day. Sunscreen for face is allergy tested, oil-free, fragrance-free, and developed with dermatologists.

How to Use:
Use this daily face sunscreen as the last step in a morning skincare routine. If layering with an eye cream, moisturizer or facial serum, apply CeraVe AM facial lotion after other product applications have been fully absorbed
Unlock the pump for first time use by twisting it to the left and pressing down several times until the product comes out. Note: You may actually have to press down on the pump as many as 10-20 times to initially begin dispensing lotion.
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure
Reapply at least every 2 hours
Use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating
Children under 6 months of age, ask a doctor

  • A: Yes, absolutely. If I happen to go to the beach I bring along a stronger sunscreen to reapply. Everyday for at least 5 years or more I have religiously used this lotion putting it on once a day before foundation/ concealer. (I also use it on my neck and décolletage). It’s light enough to soak in and not leave greasy residue. The higher spf’s tend to get chalkier so I like this texture a lot. Plus I have oily skin and swear by this stuff. I hope this helps :)

  • A: Any sunscreen should be reapplied every 90-120 minutes in prolonged sun exposure. The sunscreen component of the lotion does not last more than a couple hours.

However, individual reactions can vary. If sunscreen gets into your eyes, it's always recommended to rinse thoroughly with water. Regarding the white cast, this lotion can sometimes leave a slight white residue, especially if applied too heavily. We suggest starting with a smaller amount and rubbing it in thoroughly. If you still find it too white, we offer other CeraVe sunscreens with different textures and finishes that might be a better fit.

    This Cera Ve Am & Pm set and simple but powerful skincare routine ✨️ The Am lotion is my favorite for the morning because is hidrates and protect and the same time whit SPF30 .IS feel lightweight, not greasy, and doesn't leave a white cast.     I used to love it and now I hate it

    This moisturizer used to be my hg since high school (more than two decades). I'm not sure what's changed in recent years, but it is now so thick and greasy feeling, gives me a white cast, and pills like crazy. Awful under makeup. It's so disappointing because I used to love this stuff and I finally had to switch to a different sunscreen/moisturizer. Please bring back the old formula.

    Inexpensive, no fragrance and it is non irritating

    My dermatologist recommended Cerave over all the expensive brands. She said it is not irritating to the face and works well. I agree. I put a light coat of this on right after I wash my face in the morning and then put a few pumps in my palm, add a pump of foundation and mix. I then add that on top of the first layer of sunscreen. It helps blend the foundation so it looks natural and I dont have to worry about any damage from the sun or any other possible source. I appreciate the fact it does not have a fragrance! I also appreciate the fact it is not expensive. It makes it easy to look good, protect your skin and not break the bank.

    Pills and leaves white cast :(

    So disappointed in this product! I have enjoyed Cerave’s other products, so naturally I wanted to try their sunscreen/moisturizer for my morning routine. I tried this on clean, dry skin with no other products and it pilled terribly and left a white cast. I would understand if it was being applied on top of another product and had this issue, but that is not the case. Back to the search for a sunscreen to apply under makeup each morning.

    Not for under makeup.

    I love Cerave but I hate this product. First, it left a terrible white cast on my face (even without a huge amount of product.) Second, when I put any type of makeup over it, it pilled up horribly. I might save this for camping when I don’t plan to have makeup on, but otherwise it’s unusable.

    Good but a bit of white cast

    I like this daily sunscreen when I’m not wearing my usually spf tinted serum. It does have a bit of a white cast, but I’ve had a hard time finding one that works for my skin that doesn’t. Nice to have around for guys who don’t wear much spf too.

    BAD PRODUCT, GOT SUNBURNT

    DO NOT BUY! Very upset, my face got sunburnt using this. I applied a lot and reapplied as well but I still got burnt. My face is red and burning. It’s painful. I’m worried about sun damage. This product does not work in the hot summer sun. Now I no longer trust this brand and their products that have not been trusted and tested. Stick to their verified products, NOT this garbage moisturizing facial sunscreen. The SPF 50 is NOT there!

    Great Moisturizer

    This is my go to face moisturizer. I love that it contains sunblock, makes me feel like I’m taking an extra step to protect my skin. It goes on really nicely, doesn’t leave any weird build up and is perfect on its on or under makeup.

    Good sunscreen

    Just recently purchased this moisturizer/SPF for my dry skin and so far it’s okay. Skin doesn’t feel as hydrating as I would like it to and when applying it’s more of a sunscreen (leaves a white cast) so make sure you rub it in very well!

    I’m Impressed!

    The consistency feels more like a sunscreen, but once it’s rubbed in it absorbs well and becomes very light feeling. It works very well for my oily skin, and doesn’t clog my pores like other sunscreens have. I will definitely be purchasing this moisturizer this summer! I received this product as a free sample.

    Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend

    Not for me

    Just because it's hypoallergenic & contains a mineral sunscreen, don't be fooled into thinking you're safe. It also contains chemical sunscreen. Several hours after use, my face developed an itchy burning rash that took several days to heal. I also use the PM version with no issues.

    Great for dry skin

    Leaves skin feeling very hydrated and refreshed. Amazing quality and great bang for your buck. Very nice for in the summer as it has added spf. Love this product.

    Disappointed

    Awful is the word I use to describe this sunscreen after one day. I got it because it was rated highly for under makeup use, it's SPF 30, and fragrance free sensitive skin claim. It went on much thicker than expected & wasn't very easy to spread. Although I waited about 45 minutes before lightly applying liquid foundation, the foundation would not spread, it & sunscreen because gloppy & blotchy. Then the worst, it ended up in my eyes even though I avoided my eyes from the start.
