    Manual is a no go to for me

    I like the Forerunner 165 very much. However, the manual needs more detailed instructions and illustrations I call the support line to speak with a support team member in order to understand functions.

    I have used my Forerunner 165 for quite some time to record and log work-outs, No problems with use during exercise but I find the unit difficult to charge. When I connect to charge, the battery charge indicator sometimes does not register charging status, sometimes shifts rapidly between charging / not charging, have found that I need to carefully manipulate the charging cable to get the charging indicator and then carefully put the watch down to avoid losing the charging indicator.

    I bought my Garmin watch back in April, and I’ve really enjoyed using it. The sleep tracking and running metrics have been particularly helpful, and I genuinely feel that my running and overall fitness have improved since I started wearing it. The one area I would suggest improving is the alarm volume. Sometimes I struggle to hear it, and on a few occasions, I’ve wondered whether it went off at all. I did experience a battery issue in June or July, but since the watch was still under warranty, I was able to get a replacement. I haven’t had any issues with the replacement so far. Overall, I’ve been very happy with my Garmin watch and would absolutely continue wearing one. I’m also interested in exploring other models within the Garmin range as I continue working toward my fitness goals.

    Perfect GPS watch

    I bought this Forerunner to replace my reliable old Garmin after it passed away. It is perfect for mountain biking and the many other athletics I'm involved with. The battery lasts at least a week!

    I bought it used, with no manual and programmed in French; so I had a rough start 😂. It was a long indepth effort to get the watch ⌚ up to speed. However, once I mastered it, it has performed remarkable well with providing detailed data. I would buy this item again 😁.

    Disappointing data tracking reliability

    I bought this to replace my super reliable and durable Vivoactive4 that unfortunately met its demise on a hard bike crash. The running and activity features on this watch are superior but I’ve found it much less reliable. After only a few weeks, it continuously glitches out on me, especially during sleep, not tracking any data for hours on end. Disappointing with what seemed initially like a worthwhile upgrade.

    Do not buy!!! I was so excited to surprise my fiancé on his birthday. When he set it up, we were really disappointed to find out this watch won't do much. It's kinda pricey for what it really offers, you can't text back or answer phone calls. Had to return it and bought and Apple Watch instead.

    Upgrade

    I bought it a month ago to replace my first Garmin that died after 3.5 years. This is an upgrade- I don't get my sleep score (disappointing) . The charger is way better. I'm still learning to use the features- so, the jury is out.

    It does the job, but...

    To the most part I like this Forerunner, it does the job fir my activities. I've had to do a factory reset once so far because ot would never connect with satellites. The current issue is that EVERYDAY I have to reset the touch mode. It's clicked on in the settings but I have to go in and turn it off and turn it back on in order to get it working. It seems to me this should be a software update to fix this glitch. But the funny thing is, I've had the watch for well over a year, closer to two years actually, and there have been zero updates.

    If you run, you need this watch.
