That is what the details say, I'm not 100% sure as I haven't received my Classic Pro yet and also the first answer says it's from the "Kitchen Aid Team" and I'd hope they would know so maybe it's a misprint in the details and like they say "color" options is the only difference. Then again color wouldn't make it for professional use in my opinion but more power would.

A: This is an awesome mixer. Yes it is very heavy to lift but stays put on your counter when you're mixing on high speed. My last Mixer on high speed moved so much it literally flew off my counter when i wasn't looking

Its ok for incorporating ingredients not kneading
If you are using this to do light mixing it works great. If you are going to be kneading dough this is the worst mixer! The bowl does not stay locked in nor does the hook unless u are kneading on ehe lowest setting. My bowl kept coming out of the base. Had to hold it tye entire time even on a low setting. F9r the amount of money spent this should not be happening.

My first choice is always KitchenAid

I bought one 30 years ago and it is still running and mixing like a boss. I only recently purchased another one because my daughter borrowed my old one and refuses to give it back. I bake bread and treats for my family, friends and neighbours so I need a reliable mixer to help me. I have rheumatoid arthritis so mixing is very hard by hand now.

Made to last.
I have had my classic mixer for decades. In fact it has been refurbished at least 2 times and it works wonderfully. Have picked up replacement parts and added parts. It is so versatile.

Best decision in a long time
