A: I would suggest using a towel or bag to protect clothing and skin below your hair line. It can "freckle" skin and clothing.

We just wish we knew if it was too light, too dark….the Magic Root Cover Up conceals grays in just seconds. The lightweight formula leaves no smudging or sticky residue when dry. This is not a dye and cannot lighten hair, however it also comes in Dark Blonde and comes as a Concealer Spray, Blondes with Dark Roots, in both Light Blonde and Medium Blonde.

It sprayed on and covered the grays just fine. I have washed my hair several times and there is still a residue that keeps getting under my nails. The grays are no longer covered, but the residue is still there. Will be looking for another root touch up in between coloring.

The color is true to its name, and it does provide coverage. The two stars are due to the texture and feel of the product in the hair. I couldn't wait to wash it out. leaves orange residue, does not cover roots leaves scalp under orange. this product makes the hair feel itchy, dry, and oily all at the same time. for the record I used the product directly after blow drying my hair after washing.

I would give zero stars if I could. I have naturally brunette hair that I highlight blonde to camouflage hair thinning. I purchased the blonde version of this root spray. I was so horrified the first (and only) time I used this. First, it didn’t provide blonde coverage, but the formula is to thick, sticky, and dries to a cement like finish. I started panicking because my hair was plastered to my head and stiff as could be. When I tried to wash it out of my hair, it was as if the spray repelled the water and shampoo. I don’t understand how this product can work for people, what am I missing? After shampooing 3 times I got most of it out, I couldn’t imagine if I had used a lot. I would be concerned about hair loss. I will be returning this and never buying again. If you have fine thin hair, or have sensitive skin, AVOID AT ALL COST.

I bought this while I’m working on growing my hair because it’s sparse/thin in certain places. The spray is a bit hard to navigate at first (it comes out hard and fast), but it does perfectly cover the areas where my scalp is showing. However. It made my hair a bit stiff, like hairspray, and it’s still coming off onto my fingers if I touch the area 8+ hours later. Maybe I just used too much, but I’d be concerned about transfer onto other people, pillowcases, etc
