  • A: Misleading answer from Murphy’s Natural Team. Their label may not show an age restriction, but lemon eucalyptus and para-methane-diol are not recommended for children under the age of 3 per the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Q: Does this repellant stain clothes? Seems like it would leave dots of “oil” combined with the other ingredients. When sprayed is it a fine mist that won’t really stain clothes?

Q: How does this protect against ticks? The other lemon eucalyptus bug sprays say that they don’t but this one does and there is no additional active ingredient compared to other lemon eucalyptus bug sprays that say they only protect against mosquitoes.

Visual Proof of repelling mosquito

Good morning, I just wanted to take the time to express how happy I am with this product. I use the mosquito and tick repellent. I work in an old crusty dusty warehouse that is overwhelmed by radioactive mosquitoes. After using this product I visibly watched numerous mosquitoes fly down to my arm as if they’re gonna drain me, only for them all to fly back up and away. That alone solidified my desire to always buy this product as opposed to competitors. Thank you so much for all that you do. Have a great day and congratulations on such a great product.

Smells really good

Smells really good for a bug spray. Sprays light, evenly, doesn’t stain or feel oily. Seems to work well, even for those of us who usually get totally chomped!

Great for mosquitoes, NOT for ticks

Does not deter ticks adequately. I went hiking in a state park and sprayed it all over my legs and boots. I had several ticks on my legs and arms and had to reapply it at least twice. It does repel mosquitoes very well, but does nothing for ticks. It does feel much cleaner than DEET, which makes the ineffectiveness against ticks all the most disappointing.

Works Great!

Mosquitoes notoriously love me. I sprayed on this Murphy's Mosquito & Tick Repellent spray & I've never been bitten since! It works great, smells great, & doesn't leave an oily residue on your skin either. I will definitely be keeping this product on hand at all times.

The best!

I live in a marshy part of the NC coast. The moment you step outside, you get mobbed by mosquitoes. This spray is incredible! It deters the swarms and everyone in the family agrees that it’s the best!

ATTRACTS BEES

CAREFUL ATTRACTS BEES!!!!Kept the mosquitoes away, but attracted the bees more! I just read online the scent attracts bees! On a trip in Jamaica, I’m the only one they were after, hence I had this repellent on. I actually left the beach, I was seriously being attacked. The beach I was on happened to have an onion field next to it so there were more bees than normal. What a bummer.

Works great (with frequent reapplication)!

It does work well but I’m one of those who mosquitos find out if a million and attack so if I don’t reapply every hour they still come after me. Other than that it smells extremely good and I feel so much better putting something on my skin that doesn’t have DEET in it!

Great spray

I have purchased this item three times this year. Works well with keeping mosquitoes at bay and ticks which were plentiful this year off from me. My dogs sneeze when I initially apply the spray to my clothes but soon stop. I do have a lot of confidence in this product.

Worth the convenience!

LOVE this spray! I typically use a Lemon Eucalyptus extract to help keep mosquitos away on my patio, but this spray version is much more convenient and smells so good!

Must have bug spray!

A Murphy spray a day keeps the mosquitos and bugs away!! This stuff really works to repel pesky mosquitos and bugs. I love that the ingredients aren't toxic like other branded bug sprays. This spray smells natural and doesn't smell like your typical bug spray. I'll be order extra to gift family and friends this summer season to mitigate against bug bites while outdoors!
