A: Misleading answer from Murphy’s Natural Team. Their label may not show an age restriction, but lemon eucalyptus and para-methane-diol are not recommended for children under the age of 3 per the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Q: How does this protect against ticks? The other lemon eucalyptus bug sprays say that they don’t but this one does and there is no additional active ingredient compared to other lemon eucalyptus bug sprays that say they only protect against mosquitoes.

We offer long-lasting protection: our spray is proven to repel mosquitoes for up to six hours, deer ticks for up to four hours, and lone star and brown dog ticks for more than eight hours. Our three ingredients are Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus, Deionized water, and corn ethanol.

A: We have only tested our Lemon Eucalyptus Oil Spray as protection from mosquitoes and ticks. For that reason, we can't confirm whether or not this spray will be effective for no seeums at this time.

I use this when fly fishing mostly but I’ll actually spray it on my face and sun shirt and use the repellant stick on my hands and any other exposed skin. I love that this is safe to use on clothing and fishing gear. This company makes a stellar product.

We live in the woods and take long hikes with our tick magnet dog Bandit twice a day. The mosquitos are awful, but the ticks are worse. We've tried quite a few natural tick/mosquito repellents over the decades and this product is the best for repelling mosquitos and ticks. We've been using it on ourselves and spraying the top side of Bandit's harness and collar twice a day for 2+ years. We do not apply this repellent directly on Bandit because neither our vet nor Murphy's recommend applying it directly to his fur, but he is protected with a once-a-month topical. It really works and Bandit doesn't mind the "scent" nearly as much as other products we've tried. We transfer the small bottles of repellent into a larger spray bottle we bought solely for the purpose of dispensing the repellent because we use so much. It's an excellent product that I recommend to everyone I know and we will continue to use it in our never-ending battle with bloodsuckers.

I have not noticed that this product prevents or lessens the amount of bites I get. If anything, I think it makes me attractive to mosquitoes and biting insects even more. I would not buy again.

I purchased Murphy's Mosquito & Tick Repellent (eucalyptus & lemon) in a spray bottle. I used it once to spray myself and spray nozzle worked. After that the nozzle stopped working. It won't depress. So I have to unscrew it and manually apply it by dipping and applying several times. Do you have a fix for this? Or is the nozzle simply not up to the job? (i.e.. a piece of junk) I like the product but I won't purchase it again unless there's a solution.

I love Murphy’s products so much! I worked at an outdoor forest school and I’ve tried so many natural repellents, but this is the only one that works. The incense sticks are great, too! I can sit on my porch in the summer and not worry about getting bitten. Total game changer.

Mosquitoes are brutal at our house, and this is the only type of bug spray that seems to repel them. It has a VERY strong scent, but I'm willing to deal with it in order to go outside without being swarmed.
