Fill the water reservoir up to, but not exceeding, the 12-Cup Line (60 fl. oz.), or Add 16 oz. of white vinegar to the water reservoir, then fill the rest of the reservoir with water up to, but not exceeding, the 12-Cup Line (60 fl. oz.).

Q: If I want to make a small batch of coffee & my water reservoir is full, will it brew a small batch when I press that selection? Does the water reservoir work like a Keruig?

submitted by Cathie G - 11 months ago
  • A: When brewing 4 cups or fewer, add your desired amount of water to the reservoir and press SMALL BATCH to ensure the same great flavor as a Full Carafe brew. DO NOT add more water than the cups of coffee you want to brew, as the unit will use up the total amount of water in the reservoir regardless of the Small Batch setting.

So far so good. We previously bought Cuisinart but since I like my other Ninja appliances, we gave it a try. I’m very pleased, 1 week into our purchase. Bought on a Black Friday deal and so far worth it! The coffee has a bolder taste. I like the 12 cup option, ours used to be 10. Overall a simple but nice coffee maker.

I loved the coffee this made, but it is NOT safe to use. I have had it less than a year and today heard a constant beeping coming from it. When I went to see what was going on, it smelled like something was burning. I removed the pot, and saw the plastic ring surrounding the burner was so hot that it was melting and starting to smoke.

This was a gift for my dad in June 2022 and it already needs to be replaced. There's an electrical burning smell coming from the unit. We're replacing and won't buy this unit again. I thought Ninja was quality, but I guess the 1 year warranty is a tip off as to the expected durability. I do not recommend buying this product. 2 stars because my dad did like it while it was working.

Nice coffee maker with useful features. After just 3 days part of the finish on the warming plate has flaked off. I’ve only used a damp paper towel to wipe the plate so it’s strange that this is happening. Otherwise I like this product.

Loved this coffee maker until about a year- year and a half after when the reservoir started having problems. After so many times of taking it out to fill up, the spring started sticking and this would cause it to leak and the brewing process would fail. Will purchase a replacement part and just use the carafe to fill up rather than taking the reservoir in and out. Just beware of that issue. Otherwise love this coffee maker and how nice it looks.

Product leaks with less than 2 years ownership. Water also collects under the rim when in the dishwasher, and then leaks out when you turn it back right side up. Choose a different product.

Hard to program

runnermom - 2 months ago, Verified purchaser
Let me start with this, I LOVE Ninja products. I wanted to love this coffee pot, but it is nearly impossible to program. It takes a bit of finger contortion. The buttons are very small, hard to push and hold. I found the need to remove the carafe, stand to the side, with both hands at an angle to program. If you are not programming it daily, it is a good coffee maker. I returned it and went for something easy and cheap.
