Terrible shampoo. Doubled my post partum hair loss. The Target I went to didn't have the Moisture version of this line so I tried this one out for a change. My hair loss was absolutely insane. I was losing hair as it was but I was pulling out thick strands with this one. I had so much chunky dandruff. It broke out my scalp and hairline because it was so dry. I was itching like crazy. Just don't buy. The fragrance is horrible as well. Smells like spearmint and burns your nose and eyes to the smell.

Like the other reviews I loved the old volume shampoo and do not like at all the new formulation which did a great job and the new clear formulation leaves my hair greasy doesn’t lather like the old one and I am returning it and hope you bring the old volume shampoo which was great … bring it back!!!

The only one that works for me!
I’ve tried so many types of shampoo over the years. I have really oily roots and fine hair with drier ends. I also have a really sensitive scalp/skin. This shampoo takes care of the oil while not making my hair dull and still have volume without making my scalp itchy. The BEST! I’m not a big fan of the conditioner that matches this shampoo, but the shampoo is my favorite.

Can’t use this anymore and sad about it
Was happy with the old formula. This new version causes hair loss, flat and heavy hair that can’t keep a style, extremely difficult to rinse out, and I am quite upset about it. Last time I buy this product. It’s making my hair fall out terribly. Requires more frequent hair washing than twice a week. Bad.

This new formula is HORRIBLE! The shampoo and conditioner left my hair dry and stringy. The old formula was absolutely AMAZING I used it for years. Please go back to the old formula, look at all these consumers saying the same thing. Please go back.

Good Substitute for My Old Prestige Brand
After the “prestige” brand I used for years increased their price to $38 a bottle, I began looking for a substitute. This shampoo is the closest substitute I’ve found after trying several other less expensive salon/prestige and drug store options. I have a lot of fine, highlighted hair that is washed, dried, and exposed to heat almost every day. This shampoo keeps it hydrated and soft without being too heavy or leaving my hair greasy. My hair feels as clean as it did after washing with my prestige brand. If I do not work out and sweat, I could go a second day without needing to shampoo. The formula is a little more viscous than my prestige brand, but not so much that I’m using significantly more product. This is why I reduced the rating to 4 stars. I never used the old formula, but, after using an entire bottle, I have not experienced many of the issues the negative reviews indicated. This does give me similar results to my old lightweight, color care prestige brand. I will continue to purchase it. I do use the moisture line 21-1 leave-in every day with the volume shampoo/conditioner. It’s is comparable to a product from my prestige brand as well.

Horrible new formula causes reaction
I’ve been a very loyal customer for years now. I’ve been through the many changes in this line from goji berry to lotus being added. The formula was always creamy and left my hair soft and full. This new formula is clear and smells so strong. It leaves my scalp itchy, dries my hair out and leaves it tangled. Please listen to your customers! I will have to change to a new shampoo if the formula doesn’t change back.

New formula causes itching and dry hair
I have used this line for years. However, something has changed in the formula for the volume shampoo? It used to be creamy consistency and I loved it. Now, the "clear" formula leaves my scalp very itchy and very dry! My hair also seems dry after I use this now. So, I seem to be reacting to it and I can't figure out what specific ingredients are causing these issues now? Please, please go back to the original formula!

New formula not good
This was a long-time favorite product for me. I have fine, color treated hair and sensitive skin and had used so many sulfate free products in the past, only to be disappointed. So many other shampoos weighed down and dried out my hair, plus the buildup would end up irritating my scalp. I faithfully purchased this for the past several years. I purchased this a few days ago after my last tube ran out, not knowing the formula had changed but noting that the shampoo was now clear. I got my hair cut/styled today and right away my hairstylist knew something was wrong with a product I was using. I couldn't think of anything new. Then I checked reviews to see if the formula had changed. Yep. I'm going to need to clarify my hair with a couple washings using vinegar before I can color again. My guess is that it's the presence of Olefin Sufonate, which the older formula didn't appear to contain. Really unhappy. They need to go back to the old formula and charge more if need be. Back to my shampoo search.
