Irish Spring Bar Soap - Original Clean - 3.7oz

The new, heavy pine-note fragrance is terrible. I'd been using Irish Spring since at least the early 80s, and I'd purchased a 24-pack in late 2021. Recently purchased a misleadingly named, 'original' scent and was instantly repulsed. This smell is definitely bug spray-like, or a strong cleaning chemical. I'm forced to become a disloyal customer. Go read up on the New Coke fiasco.

Hate the flaxseed oil. Makes the bar wet. Have used this for YEARS but had to change!! Bummer

Hi I bought this and left on my pantry shelf....it condensated to the point that it soaked through almost leaving a moldish looking stain on box and was condensating on bar itself I had to actually put in zipper bag....very disappointed....

So disappointed. The new scent is awful and I can't find the old Irish Spring anywhere. I do hope that the company will bring back the former scent. Coke did it! So can you!

My boyfriend loves this soap since he said it feels like it gets him really clean although I find it a little drying. Smells pretty good and he hasn’t bought a different type of soap in years.

Been using Irish Spring soap for years. It hardly smells like it once did.

Bring back the real original. This soap leaves you feeling slimey. Gross. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it I’ve been using coast now. Sorry

Bring back the original formula! This new soap really is saddening to me and everyone i know who uses it. Please reconsider please.

The New Irish Spring soap is terrible. The fragrance can’t match the original and is almost non existent. The soap itself is slimey on your body and due to the slime seems to crack and disintegrate while in the soap dish waiting to be used. PLEASE GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL! If not, then I will be changing soaps event though we have faithfully used the original Irish Spring soap for years.

Bring back the original and charcoal formulas. The new “original” doesn’t last as long and leaves a residue on my skin.

I don't understand all these negative review. The modernized Irish spring with flaxseed oil was really an improvement it wasent so drying. But that's been removed now for the light green orginal Irish spring packaging witch is the original bar but I think people have really forgot what Irish spring soap smells like. It was always you love it or hate it soap. This is how I remember Irish spring always smelling even in the 90's so I don't know why all the complaints. I really do enjoy showering with Irish spring original and nobodys gonna say you smell bad. It's an excellent strong deodorant soap as always. And I love the new modern packaging way more!

Bring back the REAL original bar of soap. Changing the packaging didn’t change the bar inside. This “new” version is still the same ingredients as the “original clean”. Disappointed.

I have been purchasing Irish spring original bar soap for over 25 years+, love everything about the product. I typically purchase the 8 pack, and it last for approximately 3-4 months, that is equivalent to changing the bars about every 2-3 weeks. Let me say it is just my husband and I showering once a day. I began to notice the new bar of the soap barley last a week. Let me explain better: the old packages are LOT5012MX111715:28A, the box is a dark green, these bars last 2-3 weeks, LOT5074MX112702:12A is the newer package I purchased, the box is a light green. I am not sure if the ingredients were changed or what, still smells just like normal to me, maybe a little less scented but definitely not a game changer for me. Long and short of it, whatever changes you made to the product definitely reduce its longevity, which means people by more and you make more, total get that and it’s the nature of the beast, but to cut the product longevity in half…… is this the new recipe or possible a batch that was mixed properly. Not sure how all that works. This is not negative at all and will continue to purchase the Product until it gets too unreasonable. Just giving feedback, wanted or not. Haha. We bought a pack of three bars and it’s awful. The bars are not the color they use to be. They are a pale faded green. We don’t like it at all.

The soap does not hold like it use too. I bought different kinds whether it was 3 pack 6 pack or 12 pack. At different stores as well. The original, the aloe mist, the active scrub. It doesn't hold well after you use it. At times like you didn't even take a shower with the smell to it. Need to put stronger ingredients when you make thisnirish spring like you use too a long time ago.
