OXO POP Cereal Dispensers are airtight and space-efficient, so your cereal, granola and snacks stay fresh and your kitchen stays organized. The Cereal Dispensers have a unique pop-open lid for one-handed access. When you’re finished, simply press the lid down to create an airtight seal. The contoured container is comfortable to hold, even when full, and the round opening is designed for mess-free pouring. The narrow shape is perfect for keeping on countertops and in cabinets and is great for storing other dry foods like flour, rice, pasta and beans. When you’re finished, the lid removes for quick cleaning or refilling.

A: The recycle is #7. This symbol is used to classify all plastic types that do not fall under categories 1-6 for recycling purposes, and although some plastics in category 7 do contain BPA, many others do not. OXO’s POP Containers fall under recycling symbol 7 because they are made of SAN (Styrene-Acrylonitrile); however, SAN is not made with BPA, so OXO’s POP Containers are BPA-Free.

Q: WHY ... are oxo cereal containers measured in quarts - I have never purchased "dry goods" by the quart have you? The marketed use is cereal - the container is not suited for liquid

The rubber banding around the pour spout, does not provide a tight seal. Guessing this will not keep the ceral fresh. We will see. The container lid was in 2 pieces and there was no packing in the box, allowing the container to slip around inside and get scratched in a couple place by the lid
