A: If her skin is suited to salicylic acid and it doesn’t bother her, than probably. I would start with using it up to three times per week though.

I had a friend of mine recommend this to me and I cannot believe how good of a product this has been. I lucked out and don’t usually get much bad acne but whenever I get a few bad spots like blind acne spots that get really inflamed, I use this 3 times a day and it’s usually almost nonexistent within a day and a half.

Amazing gel for "light" acne. I'm in my early 40s and was considering this or the very expensive Tula or La Roche-Posay at $40 each but decided to give this a try and so glad I did! Within 4 days, my pores were smaller and I could tell it was squeezing out the little hard oil plug from my pores. Sometimes I could literally just brush off the clogged pore. I would NOT recommend this for people with cystic acne (you need a dermatologist for that since it's systemic and not a topical treatment (maybe Retin-A)). Highly recommended for white and black heads and occasional pimples. I used this in conjunction with a cotton pad and nightly toner from La Roche-Posay 0.5% salicylic acid. If it matters, I was a dermatology medical assistant for years at a top rated dermatology office with 5 doctors. I literally watched exactly what the doctors would prescribe for any skin ailment for years. This stuff is great and way, way more affordable than a Rx (but do still shop around for best pricing).

As someone who has dealt with acne for years, this seems to be one of the only things that works for me. I have combination skin and this works really well for me. I have NEVER left a a review for any item before. BUT I had to do one for this one because it is that good! I’ve only been using it for a week and I notice a HUGE DIFFERENCE! A cleanser wasn’t working for me and I needed something that could last on my face. I’ve been using this as a part of my day and night routine! My skin texture is already looking and feeling smooth!

I love CeraVe products and still continue to use most of them like the moisturizers and creams, etc. So I went in thinking that maybe this acne control gel will be great too since I love their other products so much. But nope. This gel did absolutely nothing for me and I swear it caused more pimples because I would break out a couple days after, specifically in the areas where I applied the gel. I do have sensitive skin, so maybe since it was a new product my skin overreacted, idk. But I’ve used it only a handful of times and it has just been sitting on my shelf for 2 years now, so I finally just chucked it in the trash today. Waste of money, do NOT recommend if you’re looking for results.

I used a lot of their products because I have extremely, like very extremely sensitive skin and hands down they are amazing. My skin was never irritated with redness however this product seemed to work produce more pimples on my face. To the point I was like maybe I need to go to the dermatologist. Something said, stop using to give your skin a break from the gel and guess what no more breakouts and very very minimal pimples! Not sure what happened but this product did not work for me at all!

Bought this for my daughter who has hormonal acne. She get a few small pimples right before she gets her period. I thought this would curb it but she’s breaking out bad. It’s never been this bad ever. Stay away from this if you don’t want your whole face to break out. My poor baby’s face.

Had moderate to severe acne for two years with no relief. Any product, even prescription, made it worse. As a last-ditch effort, decided to try this gel. The next morning (!), face was almost completely clear! It was like a miracle. Have been using it ever since and it is awesome. So happy I found this. It may not work for everyone, but worth a try!

I’ve been struggling with acne and decided to try CeraVe Acne Gel, hoping it would help. Unfortunately, after using it for two months, I saw absolutely no improvement in my skin. This product did nothing for my acne and was a complete waste of time and money. Despite following the instructions carefully, my acne remained the same, with no reduction in redness or inflammation. I had high hopes because CeraVe is a popular brand, but I was thoroughly disappointed. I’ve tried several of their products, and none of them have worked for me. I’ve actually thrown away all my CeraVe products because they’re just not effective. If you’re considering trying CeraVe Acne Gel, I’d recommend looking for other options that might be more effective. I won’t be buying it again.

Love it. Very thin gel that allows it to spread really easily, so a small amount is used. No drying or peeling. No alcohol, Yay. Used once a night for a week and pimples are healed and gone. Visibly reduced congested pores around nose and on chin.
