Description

Philips Avent Glass Natural bottle with the Natural Response nipple lets baby control the pace of the milk, like they do when breastfeeding. The nipples' unique opening and tip only releases milk when your baby actively drinks. When pausing to swallow and breathe no milk flows. Baby can drink, swallow, and breathe using their natural rhythm, just like they do when breastfeeding. Easily combine breast and bottle feeding with a wide breast-shaped nipple with a soft feel that mimics the shape and feel of a breast; plus baby controlling the flow of milk like they do when breastfeeding. The nipple has a no-drip design which helps prevent lost milk from the tip. An anti-colic valve integrated into the nipple is designed to reduce colic and discomfort by sending air away from your baby's tummy. The ergonomic shape makes it comfortable for parents to hold. Assembly is simple with only a few parts and the wide bottle neck makes filling and cleaning easy. This Natural Philips Avent bottle is made of premium quality borosilicate glass, a BPA free material. It is heat and thermal shock resistant, so it can be safely stored in the fridge, warmed and is easy to wash and sterilize. The Natural response nipples come in flow rates 1-5, to keep up with your baby's growth. We recommend using the Philips Avent Natural baby bottle with Philips Avent Natural bottle nipples. Includes: 1 4oz Glass Natural bottle with Natural Response nipple flow 2. SCY910/01

What to expect when introducing the Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple:

-It's totally natural for your baby to take 2-3 tries to get milk flowing from a new bottle. Unlike traditional bottles the Natural bottle is designed to only release milk when your baby is actively drinking, like what happens when babies breastfeed.

-We have 5 different nipple flow rates for the Natural bottle. When looking for the right nipple flow rate, age is a guide, but your baby's approach to drinking and the feeding cues they will show will help determine when to move to a higher or lower nipple flow rate.

Packaging uses 100% plastic alternative, FSC-certified paper, with great potential to be widely circular for majority of product packaging.

Q: Hello, Is the glass bottle microwave-safe or not? Can I sterilize the Philips glass bottle in a microwave, in a microwave sterilizer? Thanks in advanced!

submitted by Ati - 11 months ago
  • A: Hello there! The Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle is made of premium-quality borosilicate glass, which is BPA-free and resistant to heat and thermal shock. This makes it safe for storing in the fridge, warm, and easy to wash and sterilize. Regarding microwave safety, while the bottle itself is microwave safe, it is generally not recommended to use a microwave to warm up baby’s food or drinks. Microwaves can create “hot spots” that might scald your baby and may also alter the quality of the food or drink. If you do use a microwave, make sure to remove the screw ring, AirFree vent, nipple, and cap before heating, and always stir the contents to ensure even heat distribution. Before first use, disassemble all parts, clean them, and then sterilize them by placing them in boiling water for 5 minutes or by using a Philips Avent sterilizer. This is to ensure hygiene.

    Great quality glass bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve really enjoyed using the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle. We received this bottle to review through Stellar Panel. It feels high quality and well designed right out of the box. The glass is thick and durable, yet not too heavy, and I love that it’s a safer, more eco-friendly option compared to plastic. It held up great through heating, sterilizing, and washing with no clouding, no weird smells, and it still looks brand new after multiple uses. I felt confident using it daily. My baby took to the nipple right away and seemed to handle the milk flow easily. Feeding felt smooth and natural. I also appreciate that there are different nipple flow rates available, so I can adjust as my baby’s needs change. What I liked most is the peace of mind that comes with using glass, combined with how easy the bottle is to use and clean. It’s become one of our go-to bottles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall, the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle is a great option for anyone that prefers glass bottles to other options on the market. The glass makes the bottle particularly easy to clean, it heats well in the bottle warmer, and the glass is very sturdy (I accidentally dropped it on the ground and it was fine). My biggest gripe with the glass bottle is how heavy it is. Arms already get tired feeding a baby and the added weight from the glass is not preferable in my opinion. The look of the bottle is relatively basic, but the bottle does what it needs to do. My baby took relatively well to the nipple. She is breastfed most of the time and may only get a bottle once or twice a day. The flow seemed to be good for her. She was not gagging or spitting up at all. It did look like she had to really work to get the milk out because of how firm the nipple was, though. For anyone looking at glass options, this is a solid bottle to go for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have a newborn and have recently started pumping, so I was really excited to try this bottle. I was already familiar with other Philips Avent Bottles as we used them with our first child. The bottle is super easy to clean and sterilize. Only have a few pieces made taking it apart and putting it back together quick and easy as well, really an important aspect when you have a hungry baby waiting. My breastfed baby immediately latched and fed easily from the nipple without choking on the flow. It can be so hard to find a bottle nipple baby will take to, so this was a huge plus. I love that the shape made it so easy to grip. My favorite part of this bottle is the measurements on the side were in both UK and US oz. Being a couple from different sides of the pond, this saved us many arguments. The glass is nice because it eliminated any concerns about what chemicals might be leeching into my child's milk. My hesitancy about the fragility was somewhat alleviated after dropping it twice without any damage. I do, however, have my doubts about the weightiness of the bottle as baby begins to want to hold it on her own. Having a toddler at home who always wants to help feed baby also gives me pause in using glass. I think while it's good for at home use, I'd be wary of taking it in the diaper bag for fear it would break if the bag was dropped. The benefits seem to outweigh the risks though, and I think I'll be buying another one soon to have two on hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I absolutely love these bottles. They look so sleek. My baby is breastfed but will take this bottle when I leave him occasionally. It’s so nice to have a glass option that feels so sturdy. I have a few of the bigger ones as well and they hold up so well. Since they are glass, you don’t get the cloudiness and the discoloration like you do from plastic bottles. I recommend these to everyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The Phillips Avent glass bottle looked very well made upon unboxing. The glass is heavy and feels thick and durable. It does not feel like something you have to be extra delicate with. The bottle held up well to heat and every day use. I never noticed any safety concerns with the glass during sterilization and warming the bottle. It felt safe and reliable, though I was concerned if I dropped the bottle on our stone countertops or concrete that it would not survive the fall due to it being glass, thankfully this never happened. Our baby seemed content with the pace of milk during feeding, I think the flow rate suited his current needs. However, the nipple shape was different than what he is used to. Overall, I greatly appreciated how the bottle was constructed, it truly was much better constructed than I assumed it would be and held up well to everyday use. I liked the option of a less toxic material for feeding my child when bottle feeding is necessary. As well, the glass seemed to heat more efficiently and the milk stayed the preferred temperature longer than plastic bottles. This bottle is a great option for those looking for a glass bottle for feeding.

The Only Bottle My Breastfed Baby Loves

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve tried so many bottles as a breastfeeding mom, and the Philips Avent Natural Glass 4oz bottle is hands-down the best one we’ve used. From the very first feed, my baby latched onto the nipple easily without confusion or frustration. The nipple is soft and shaped in a way that mimics the breast, along with the natural flow of the milk, which made the transition between breast and bottle completely seamless for us. I also love that it’s made of glass, which feels safer and more durable than plastic — plus, it warms up quickly and doesn’t hold odors. The 4oz size is perfect for younger babies or smaller feeds, and I appreciate how ergonomic and easy it is to hold (even one-handed during chaotic moments). Another big win for me is how easy it is to clean. The wide neck makes washing and assembling super simple, and the parts are minimal but thoughtfully designed. I was given this bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I’m so glad I did, It’s now the only bottle we use, and I’ve already bought extra to keep on hand. Highly recommend it to any parent looking for a safe, breast-like bottle that actually works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been using Advent plastic bottles since our daughter was born, but having the opportunity to test out these glass ones from Stellar Panel as a tester was such a treat. Right away, I noticed how high-quality and well-made they felt—the glass has a sleek, sturdy feel that really feels great. Whether we were warming, sterilizing, or washing, and I feel felt confident using them daily. The nipple flow seemed just right for our baby; she was able to feed comfortably without any issues. Overall, what I loved most was the combination of durability, safety, and how easy they were to clean. Definitely a new favorite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a new mom navigating the whirlwind of postpartum life, I’ve quickly learned that the right baby bottle can make or break feeding sessions. I received the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much of a standout it’s become in our feeding routine. First impressions: This bottle feels premium the moment you pick it up. The glass is thick, sturdy, and high-quality yet not overly heavy, which I appreciated during late-night feeds when one-handed multitasking is key. The sleek, modern design makes it look elegant among our baby gear, and I love that it’s free of plastic components where it matters most. Performance: What really impressed me was how well this bottle held up under daily use. I’ve warmed it, sterilized it, and run it through multiple dishwasher cycles, and it still looks brand new. No cloudiness, no funky odors, and no signs of wear. It feels safe, reliable, and truly built to last. Feeding experience: My baby took to the natural-shaped nipple right away. It mimics breastfeeding well, which is a huge plus since we’re combo feeding. The slow-flow nipple allowed my baby to control the pace of feeding without spillage, frustration, or gas. That said, I can see us sizing up to a medium flow nipple soon as his hunger cues grow thankfully, Philips Avent makes that transition simple. What I loved most: I felt confident using this bottle, knowing glass is a safer option without concerns of microplastics or leaching. It’s also surprisingly easy to clean no weird corners or crevices, and the wide neck makes pouring and mixing a breeze. The thoughtful design makes this bottle both functional and parent-friendly. One minor con: While I personally love the feel of glass, it might not be the best option for on-the-go feeds. I’d recommend using a silicone sleeve or sticking to home use if you’re concerned about potential drops. Final thoughts: Overall, I would highly recommend the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle to any parent looking for a durable, safe, and baby-approved feeding solution. It’s a well-designed product that blends quality with peace of mind and that’s exactly what I need right now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My initial impression is that it feels heavy; the glass is thick, and it appears to be well made. After use, I put it in my bottle washer and dryer, and all the parts held up to the heat of the water, sterilization, and drying without any issues, and I feel like it will continue to hold up well in the future. The flow of the size 2 nipple was a bit fast for my 6-week-old, but she is using preemie size nipples on her current bottle and would likely do better with a slower flow on this one as well. My main concern is that it is glass, and I have a very clumsy toddler, and I worry about accidents and glass breaking. The one other negative for me was that it is a rather wide bottle, and the pockets of my diaper bag tend to fit more narrow bottles, so travel might be limited with this bottle. Overall, I feel this is a quality bottle and would recommend it to someone looking for glass bottles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. When deciding which bottles I wanted for my child, I knew that these were the ones. I had gone back-and-forth on plastic versus glass mainly because of the weight with a glass bottle. We had ultimately decided on plastic, but now that we have received and tested this glass bottle we will be switching over. These are not too heavy at all and they are so sleek looking. Not only is the quality incredibly high, but the durability is also top-of-the-line. It heats well when warming a bottle and doesn’t hold too much heat. I love how clean these get versus how plastic ones get cloudy overtime. I also love that my baby was able to control the pace of the milk, flow and that the milk stopped when he stopped sucking. I could go on and on about all the things I enjoyed with this bottle, but I will say that we will definitely be purchasing more!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this bottle! Right out of the box it looks great, feels sturdy, comes apart easily, and has easy to read measurement markings. Hand washes easily (milk doesn't stick to the insides), washed just as easily in the dishwasher, and was easy to sterilize. Bottle Parts are simple and straightforward — bottle, collar, nipple and cap, all feel very well made and sturdy, held up well to both washing and sterilizing and warming multiple times (not to mention feedings!) Glass Bottle also safely went thru a cycle of fresh pumped milk added, then placed in fridge, and later same bottle was warmed in warmer straight out of the fridge and fed to baby. Glass is thick, I actually dropped it into my sink and no breaks. Bottle is warm, almost hot, to the touch from the sterilizer, but not so much that it would burn you. Same sensation out of the warmer — I didn’t need to put a cover on it but it’s something to be aware of if you have sensitive skin or plan to let baby hold the bottle. The bottle came with a number 2 nipple which seemed to be a favorite of our almost 2m old who is breastfed with some bottle feedings of expressed milk. He wasted less, if any, milk (other bottles cause the milk to dribble out the sides of his mouth when he needs a break,) and he consistently drank 2-3 ounces MORE from this bottle vs some other popular ones we tried. Definitely seems like he’s able to lace himself and control the flow better with this nipple and we haven’t noticed any change in gassiness — if anything, we get longer sleep stretches after he finishes drinking from this bottle! Haven’t had any issues switching from breast to bottle and back. Overall, this has become our favorite bottle and I’m slowly replacing our others with this glass one. You can’t beat how easy to clean, assemble, and use and especially the fact that baby loves it. Thanks Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing us to run this bottle thru its paces, we love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The look and feel of this bottle are great—it's stylish, sleek, and definitely feels like a high-quality product. The glass construction makes it feel durable and well-made compared to many plastic alternatives. My only concern is the weight; it is noticeably heavier than plastic bottles, which can make it a little more challenging to handle, especially for younger children or when on the go. In terms of heat resistance, this bottle held up very well. We've warmed it, sterilized it, and washed it multiple times without any issues. It feels very safe and reliable for daily use, and I appreciate knowing that glass doesn’t absorb odors or stains the way plastic sometimes can. My son loves this bottle and drinks out of it daily. He seemed to be able to control the milk flow just fine with the included nipple, and we haven't had to switch to a different flow rate. What I liked most about this bottle is how much my son enjoys using it. It's become his go-to bottle, and that peace of mind is everything. If it were just a little lighter, it would be perfect! I can't thank The Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me and my little one to receive and test this product. We both really appreciate it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of the Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle from the Stella Product Testing Panel and I couldn't be happier with it for my 3-month-old son. He took to it immediately with no issues at all, which was such a relief. The shape of the nipple seems to mimic breastfeeding very well and he never has any confusion returning to the breast from a day of bottle feeding. What I really love is that it’s made of high-quality glass, which feels sturdier and cleaner than plastic. It’s easy to sterilize and holds up great after repeated washes. Highly recommend for any parent looking for a safe, reliable, and baby-approved bottle. Avent really nailed it with this one and I'll be purchasing this bottle going forward!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let’s start by saying I loved this bottle so much I bought more after being send one as part of a Stellar Review Test Panel. We just brought home our 4th child and my tried and true glass bottles before this have seen some better days, but I was so hesitant to toss and replace them. Then came in these Phillips Advent glass bottles. Game changer! This bottle has 3, yes, you read that right, 3 parts. There’s no annoying seal or leaky ring! It’s a nipple, the plastic ring that holds it on and the bottle. All of which I tossed in the dishwasher and they came out perfectly clean and ready to use. Heating was a breeze! I warmed up some water and submerged the bottle in it. No fear of microplastics in the milk thanks to this glass bottle! It’s sturdy and durable. It’s nicely shaped for comfortable holding. My exclusively breastfed newborn took to this bottle with ease. The flow was easy to control with various options for nipple speeds. She latched easily and made a great seal. No clicking (taking in air) or sliding on or off the bottle. It’s a 5 star bottle in my book and the price point and accessibility is fabulous! I placed an order online with my favorite retailer the day I tried this bottle. And the true testament was when I threw our original tried and true bottles in the trash because the advent glass bottles hold up, are healthier than your plastic option, are easy to clean, don’t cost a fortune, and best of all they don’t leak! Add them to your registry. Buy them for a friend. Fourth time mom approved!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was impressed with the overall look and feel of the bottle. It feels high quality and well made, with sturdy glass that gives a sense of durability and safety. It also holds up great to heat whether pouring in warmed formula, sterilizing the bottle, or running it through the bottle washer, it’s been easy to clean and hasn’t shown any wear. My baby, who is currently 4–5 weeks old, was generally able to control the pace of milk flow using the size 1 nipple. There were a few times he seemed fussy or impatient at the bottle, but I’m not sure if that’s due to the nipple flow or just a naturally fussy phase. He was also pretty gassy after his feeds but that might have nothing to do with the bottle and maybe just normal newborn digestion. I may consider trying a different flow rate (size 2) in the future to see if it makes a difference. What I liked most about this bottle is how solid and easy to clean it is. It gives me confidence in its safety and reliability for everyday use. Overall, it’s a great bottle and I would definitely recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle set. I always research the best products for my baby, and the Philips Avent Natural Glass Bottles consistently come up in top recommendations, so I was very excited to try it. I really liked this bottle. It felt thoughtfully designed and worked well for my 11 month old. She was able to easily hold and feed herself, which was a big win for us. The size 2 nipple flow seemed a little slow for her age, but she still finished her full 4 oz bottle without stopping. I think a size 3 nipple might be a better fit going forward. What I especially loved is that the bottle is made of glass. I try to avoid heating up plastic, so this gave me peace of mind. It is also much easier to wash than some of the plastic bottles we have used—no sticky residue or lingering smells. It feels durable and high quality, and I plan to keep using it daily and even get more. Although it is glass, it did not get too hot for her to hold, which was a pleasant surprise.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as part of a Stellar Product Testing Panel. We love the bottles. The glass is thick and not easily breakable. It stood up the the dish washer just fine. This was my first experience with glass bottles and I love it! The bottle only releases milk when baby is actively drinking so if you turn it upside down, nothing spills and if bottle is in babies mouth but they are no longer interested or asleep there’s no leakage. I will be purchasing more of these!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My baby is five months old and has really only taken one type of nipple since starting bottles. I was hopeful he would accept the natural response nipple but wasn't sure he would accept it right away, but he accepted it on the very first try! What I like about this nipple is that my baby controls the pace of the milk flow. This leads to a longer bottle session, but there is no wasted milk coming out the sides of his mouth, and he seems much more satisfied with four ounces of milk versus the six ounces we had been feeding him. With other bottles and nipples, I worried about my baby getting frustrated with the flow of milk coming back to breastfeeding after a bottle feed, but that is not the case with this bottle. We have been able to easily switch between bottles and breast. I really love that it is made of glass so that we can heat milk inside the bottle without worrying about plastic ending up in the milk. The condensation off the glass can be hot after warming, but after a quick wipe with a towel, it is ready for baby. Washing the bottle is a breeze because it's only the bottle, nipple, and the threaded rim. I received this bottle as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I currently use the Phillips Avent plastic bottles with my two month old baby and have been curious about testing out the glass version due to them being completely BPA free and better for the environment. I really liked the feel and shape of this bottle in my hand. It felt very sturdy and high quality. I was worried that it would break easy due to being glass but I didn’t find that to be the case. The nipple is also the best I have found! With other bottles, my baby has a hard time controlling the flow and will cough and have milk, spilling out the sides of her mouth. With Phillips Avent natural nipple, she was easily able to control the flow! My biggest concern with this bottle is that the lid does not securely stay on the bottle and will come untwisted easily. The only other thing to be aware of is that if you have a bottle warmer that uses steam to warm the milk, the bottle will be scolding hot when you pull it out along with the milk inside. However, I don’t think this is a fault of the bottle. I think if you use a regular bottle warmer it would be just fine. If I can find a way to keep the lid more securely attached I would give the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby 5 stars and replace all my plastic bottles with the glass version Kindly be aware that I received the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this bottle as part of the Stellar Product Testing panel and I wanted to first say thank you for sending this to me to try. I have used this bottle now for several weeks. I want to first say that I really like the durability and weight of the bottle, it also comes clean really well. My baby didn’t seem to have a problem with this bottle. It was very comparable to other bottles we have tried in the past. She took this well and did not see to have much gas afterwards. However, there is one thing I worry about and one thing that you need to keep in mind while using… I do worry about it being glass, as far as breaking and such, but we are very careful with it. It also gets very hot externally, so it has to cool down a little before handling if it comes out of a bottle warmer. Overall, I really liked this bottle and most of all, my baby seemed to like it as well!
