While both products provide an occlusive barrier to lock in moisture and nourish the skin, our Healing Ointment contains the active ingredient Allantoin, which is an FDA-approved over-the-counter skin protectant to help prevent, temporarily protect, and relieve chafed, chapped, or cracked skin and lips + protect skin from the drying effects of wind and cold weather.
