Q: How long does the stain last in your lips?

  • A: It doesn't last very long. Any amount of eating or drinking fades it unevenly and it looks bad. Use it to experiment with colors but don't use ELF as your main lip stain.

    Lip stain

    Very sorry, but the lip stain does not work adequately at all, very disheartening as I do post several videos with elf products but this one was very disappointing! Really does not stay on

    Not bad but not amazing

    These are pretty but if you want a lip stain I recommend getting the water lip an cheek tints. The gloss of this doesn't last super long and there isnt' very much product in it. I like it, but there's other things I reach for first.

    Love it

    I am loving my glossy lip stain. It gives a great, natural look with bright color. I like that the color is buildable- fiery red can give a nice redish tint with one swipe or a bright,vivid red with an additional layer or two. I find that it lasts nicely (by the next day it has faded to a plump lip color) but my top lip does not hold the color as well. Great for layering with gloss.

    Great Lip Stain

    Color: Rose Rizzlin’ 🌹 Such a pretty color! Stain lasts and doesn’t taste weird at all. The gloss will fade but you can also reapply or add another gloss on top (elf glow reviving melting lip balm in strawberry shortcake is really pretty). Would recommend!

    Pretty good

    I have 2 shades: basic beige (muted red) and rose rizzin (mauvey pink). I really like the shades. They're really moisturizing too. It does take a bit to dry down. This would be such a hit for me. My only problem is that they're not as long lasting as I hoped them to be. If you're not doing much, sure, it stays a few hours. But if you're eating, drinking, the stain will need to be reapplied after an hour or 2.

    This is the Kulfi dupe you’ve been looking for!

    I was obsessed with kulfi lip oil stain until I found this! Just as good, better color selection, and way more affordable! I love how it goes on shiny and not sticky and the stain is not drying at all like other stains. Gives my lips a beautiful natural boost!

    A good lip stain

    This is a good lip stain at a very reasonable price. It is non drying on the lips and it isn't sticky too. Once it has dried it stays in place very well. It does come off when I'm eating food. It is well pigmented so the colour does show very well.

    Worth buying

    The Peach color is fantastic and the gloss is wonderful. The color is MUCH brighter on the applicator vs when actually applied, which I was glad for. 😂 It definitely still leaves behind a tint even when the gloss-factor is long gone, but it does require 2-3 applications throughout the day. HOWEVER, I'd prefer this to all-day lip stains because this one doesn't dry my lips out at all!

    Great product...terrible packaging

    The formula and pigment is amazing. I would absolutely re-purchase again, HOWEVER the packaging is terrible. The applicator is so short it does not reach the bottom and about half of the product ends up being wasted. Very disappointing.

    Changed the Shade

    I LOVEDDD this product but they changed the shade of basic beige to a more lighter tone & it isn’t as flattering. I haven’t found a shade as pretty as it & it’s so disappointing they had to change to color but other than that, if you find a shade you love it’s a great product. But elf pls change it back. 💔
