A: Hello. While the product will stick (almost too well) to glass, we do not recommend it because some glass can be very thin and not structurally strong enough. Also, we caution against locking any cabinets with hazardous substances, such as medicines.

A: Hello there. To break the adhesive seal we recommend using dental floss or fishing string between the adhesive and the surface it is attached to. Once removed you can wipe down remaining residue with damp soapy cloth (depending on the surface).

Poor Design and Quality
The part that is suppose to squeeze open is really difficult to open and the part that is suppose to clasp is not sturdy. My 3 yr old was able to open it resulting in injury.

C'mon Safety 1st...
For a product that’s supposed to serve such a simple function, I’m amazed this passed any sort of testing. You practically need a sledge hammer just to get the clasp closed over the strap, and then it’s impossible to unclip without a tool like a buffer knife. Frustrating.

Hard to open.
If you don’t want/need to use the cabinet everyday this is a good buy, BUT FOR THINGS YOU NEED like toilet or doors or cabinets in the kitchen these are really hard to use. I can’t open it at all and once you stick on it’s really hard to remove so be careful with that. Will be returning.

Easy to break
Initially these were great. We used one to hold a shower door closed, one for the freezer door and one for the oven. The freezer one ripped off after a few months. The shower one broke after about 10 months. The oven one is still working. Both the straps broke when my toddler pulled as hard as he could to open them. If it’s not an item your toddler wants to open, they’ll last. But not for something he really wants.

Easily comes apart when trying open door. My 1 year old opens the door with ease. Ones from Amazon are way better. We just moved and needed new ones urgently so grabbed some at target and that was an even bigger headache then just waiting for better ones to be delivered

Works as Described
We use these to keep our dog from using her nose to open and get into the trash. They work well and seem like they will last for long time. One bit of advice - measure before clamping the ends on the thin middle strip. For some reason I assumed it was adjustable (I think we had another brand that was when my kids were little), and clamped it on the short side, now it's a stretch to get it locked/unlocked.

Fully ineffective
If you have any muscular strength whatsoever, these will not keep a darn thing locked. My two year olds can easily pop open the “adjustable side” and render these things useless.

Do not buy!!
I misplaced the box of cheap ones I got and needed to get something same day for a new dresser. These lasted about two months before they popped off. The clasp that’s supposed to stay closed permanently could easily open when my toddler was messing with it. I had a cheap version from Amazon that is still going strong 2 years later, these safety 1st ones couldn’t even last 4 months. Despite being an inferior product, they are so expensive compared to the 12 pk I purchased from a different brand. These are not safe and not child proof.
