I was delighted to see that the actual product more than fulfilled my expectations from what I had read about the Caraway line of products. The beauty aspect is obvious; what is less obvious is the practicality of purchasing a very high end, expensive pice of cookware. As soon as I used it for the very first time I knew that this tea kettle would most likely provide the same delight to whichever one of my children ends up with it. So, yes, it costs more than many other tea kettles, but I’m confident it will be the last one I will need to purchase. I may WANT to acquire another one, but it won’t be because this one is no longer useable.

I use my tea kettle at least 5 times a day and am very satisfied with Caraway's Whistling Tea Kettle. I only wish there was a style that gave more "French Cottage" but I won't be picky! Would highly recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The knob broke off the lid right after I passed the 1 year warranty. The lid is stuck now so I can’t use the kettle anymore. I had hoped a kettle at this price would have lasted me a lot longer than 1 year and 1 month.

This is a beautiful kettle. Because this is a heavily constructed kettle, it does take a while for the water to boil and I have to push down on the spout to seat it firmly (this warranty replacement is a little misaligned) but it works like a charm. Note also that the lip on top prevents 100 percent of the water from pouring out. If I want to store this, I have to dry the inside with a towel. Otherwise, this works great and will outlive me. It is a high quality kettle. PS - The handle only gets hot if I put it on a large flame. If I use a low flame, I don't need the pot holder.

I was very excited to buy this beautiful looking marigold colored tea kettle. Even though I rarely use a tea kettle, it was a cheery pop of color in my kitchen. I have a glass top induction range and have boiled water in the kettle a total of three times. I went to use it today for the fourth time and noticed that the colored enamel near the base of the kettle was blackened in two spots (see photos). In addition, you can see in the second photo that there are a few brown marks. I tried to remove the blackened and brown spots with a microfiber cloth and dish soap. It made no difference at all and neitherareas were lessened or removed when I tried with a scrubby sponge. Extremely disappointed given the outrageous price of this kettle. It is also irritating to have to use a pot holder to brew one's tea! I'm buying a Le Creuset tea kettle which is much more functional and nearly half the price of this horrible one!
