Q: Can you put these in the oven?

A: Just opened the box this morning, washed them, dried them, and put my left over baked potatoes in the big square piece and it just shattered in my kitchen on my counter.. left overs were in the glass container for about 20 minutes before it shattered.. the left overs were not hot, nor was the lid on it. I’m very disappointed..

Q: Are these dishes oven-safe? I see another similar set with the same number of pieces, but with different colors for the lid. That set is oven-proof. Just want to check whether this one is, too.

A: Hi Rose! Our Pyrex glass storage dishes are oven safe at any baking temperature (without the lids). Just make sure the oven is preheated and you don't use them under the broiler.

Almost every single piece has chips or scratches, several that are sharp to the touch. We unfortunately ended up tossing over 75% of the glassware. Quality control is severely lacking.

All three rectangular containers were faulty. One of the long sides of the largest one was slightly bowed out, making it impossible for the lid to seal. Both of the smaller rectangular containers had a strange tacky spot on the back that wouldn’t clean off. Almost seemed like the substance was part of the glass, because nothing would budge it. Disappointing to see this is the kind of quality Pyrex turns out now. I have Pyrex food storage containers from 7 years ago that are excellent. I’d prefer to support American manufacturing but if this is the quality Pyrex is putting out now, I’ll buy a different company’s containers, regardless of where they’re made.

I bought these to replace my plastic tupperware. I am very pleased with the sizes. Usually with plastic containers, the smallest bowls are useless, but these are big enough to actually hold stuff. They are also stackable which is a nice touch.
