Description
Slice meat, cheese, bread, vegetables and fruit quickly and easily with the NESCO FS-250 Food Slicer. Features include a variable thickness control dial that lets you decide the thickness of your slices. Choose from deli thin to 9/16" thick. The 180-watt motor provides the power to slice and the large multi-purpose 8.7 inch stainless steel blade can handle a wide range of food sizes and shapes. Both the food carriage and blade are removable for quick cleanup. A recessed power switch ensures safe use and eliminates accidental engagement while non-slip feet provide a stable base on most surfaces. Q: does this slicer slice fruits and vegetables? Such as tomatoes maybe orange?

A: This unit is only available with a serrated blade, which would not work well with delicate items such as tomatoes, but will do better with harder items like cucumbers and peppers.

Worked for about 2 minutes and then the blade locked up and wou;d not turn. Let it sit for 3 hours, never came back on. Returning it.
