Lysol Laundry Sanitizer Sport is the ultimate odor eliminator. Specifically designed to break down body/sweat malodors on clothing at the molecular level. These malodor molecules are caused by bacteria which thrive on synthetic fabrics and grow from body oil and sweat found on human skin. The molecules are often trapped within synthetic fabrics such as those found in activewear. This malodor control technology is specially formulated for Laundry Sanitizer Sport and not found in other Laundry Sanitizer products. I wear a black body suit out to the bars frequently, and sweat a normal amount throughout the night. Overtime my bodysuit developed a musty/BO scent left in the armpits regardless of how many times I washed it. It was even irritating my armpits. I tried Vinegar, baking soda, NOTHING worked. With more research I discovered you can actually get bacteria on clothing which is what happened. I pre soaked this before the wash for one minute, I did notice the black color seemed to bleed so i quickly took it out but it instantly worked and got rid of the smell I was trying everything to get rid of. Highly recommend but be careful of color bleeding.

This stuff is amazing! I have tried everything to get the stench out of my sons football gear. I was telling my friend about my dilemma and she told me she uses this so I thought I’d give it a try not expecting much. Boy was I wrong! His football clothes actually smell good when they come out of the laundry! Something I never thought would happen. I decided to use this for my towels I thought we’re done & I don’t need to buy new towels anymore. I will never not have this product in my laundry room. Thank you Lysol!

This laundry sanitizer effectively got rid of bad smells, however, if scented products bother you, stay away from this one. It is HEAVILY scented. I’m going to try the free & clear version instead.

I don't use any scented products because my kids have very sensitive skin. Because of this, normal odors on clothes are much more obvious. On gym clothes... it's honestly horrible. It was bad enough, then I accidentally left a huge load of laundry in the washer overnight. It made all those clothes smell like wet dog. I bought this as a last resort.
