Scotch Mount Double-Sided Mounting Tape Clear 1" x 60": Heavy Duty Wall Tape, Double Stick for Art & Office

I this is very potent heat cold resistant I use it for my dash cam and stays sturdy really recomend it this product is wonderful

Didn't work. I used 18" on an 18"x3" wooden decoration, well within the weight limit, and it fell down a few minutes later. I had wiped down the wall first. A small piece of plaster came down with the tape so I'm not sure how much the wall itself was a factor... If I try it on another surface I will update my review.

I used both this 1 x 60 "Mount" tape & Scotch's other mounting tape, which is labeled "Indoor Double-sided Mounting Tape & is 1 x 50," to affix 12 bird spike strips (bird deterrents) onto my 4 deck ceiling fans. No comparison! This "Mount" tape is certainly thicker than regular, office, double-sided tape, but the clear center is not as thick as their other mounting tape. Cutting this tape with scissors is very hard, & it leaves sticky goop on the scissors. It doesn't quite cover as much surface as the other tape bc it is so thin & doesn't fill the gap between the spike strips (which have slight indentions around each of the screws) & the top of the ceiling fan. Also, when trying to peel the protective cover off to reveal the sticky part, the tape bunches up, so isn't covering as much surface area. Scotch's other tape, "Indoor Double-sided Mounting Tape," was so much easier to use & should provide a much better hold. It is a thin, white, foam layer with clear double-sided tape on each side. It's covered w/a green, plaid paper that is very easy to peel off & since it is protecting the scissors from the sticky part, is very easy to cut. That little foam thickness reduces the possibility of gaps between the tape & the surface. I expect to have to replace the spikes affixed with this Mount tape, but expect the spike strips attached via the other tape (Indoor Double-sided Mounting Tape) to hold up to fan vibrations, wind & rain. (Yes, I know the tapes are for indoors, but the fans are about 3 yards away from direct exposure to the elements, & I wanted the ability to remove the strips if they didn't keep birds away.) I'm returning the unused rolls of this Mount tape that I bought & am buying more of the other tape, determined to win the war against the pigeons who are trying to claim my deck with their poop. I don't even want to think about what their poop & other nesting materials are doing to the ceiling fan motors. In conclusion, this "Mounting" tape is much harder to work with & is too thin. I will never buy it again, regardless of the item to be mounted.

this tape is so strong I didn't realize it the first time I used it. I used allot on a 8x14 in frame to hang in my apartment. when it came time to move I couldn't take it down, I was afraid I'd remove some dry wall along with it, I ended up using a steak knife and shoved it in between the picture and the wall over and over till it started to loosen, thank God it did I thought I might just have to leave it for the next tenants. so please use a little it way strong.

Super strong! Just be prepared if you remove an item from drywall, it will take the paint off. It is also not easy to remove.

MI needed something heavy duty enough to tape to brick, outdoor glass, and wall and everything stayed right in place the entire time. Even in very hot temperatures! Highly recommend for outdoor use

no instructions on all to peel off the backing. It doesn't just come off. I wasted almost the whole pack trying to get the backing off! Will NOT buy again! or recommend.

when cutting a piece to use, occasionally the tape folds back into the roll. Then, it is practically impossible to find the cut and detach the tape to continue using the rest of the roll.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotch Mount Clear double sided tape is a great product for mounting light weight items as well as those on the heavier side. I used it to mount a painted canvas in my bathroom because the product is usable in both wet and dry environments. I also used it to mount a ceramic thermometer in my bathroom. Both items are being held very securely and add to the decor of the room. Never would I have thought that this would have even been a possibility. The only thing that was a bit problematic for me was removing the plastic layer from the tape. Eventually I was successful and I’m very pleased with the results. I received this product at no charge for my honest review.

My kitchen rug kept turning up on the corner and this tape has kept it sealed to the tile for months now. It is amazing at holding up heavy items. I tried using packing tape and duct tape to hold my heavy handmade Christmas stocking on the mantle, but this was the only tape thatheld longer than 4 hours, in fact it's been 4 days already! Next project is to adhere it to a jewelry shelf that keeps tipping forward on my wall, andbest if all this tape is transparent so no one will ever know!

Worst adhesive I’ve bought the back is so difficult to take off

One side of the tape does not come off. You will break all of your nails and still not get the one side off. Stick with the generic kind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been wanting double-sided tape for some projects. This was handy for hanging a sign in the window. Easy to cut and hang. It has been securely affixed since I installed it. Hopefully it will be easy to remove.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product free from 3M. The "Scotch-Mount Clear Double-Sided Mounting Tape" did not work well for me. It stuck to the main surface of what I applied it to well, but sticking anything else onto the open adhesive side would stay on no longer than a few minutes. When taking it off the main surface, the tape left a slight residue on that surface, but there was no damage to it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great for crafting! I have used this on some of my paper crafting both as is and cutting into smaller pieces. Great way to layer and add dimension without having the white tape showing since it’s clear.

Not only is it incredibly annoying and nearly impossible to take off wrapping on the tape, it also does not stick well at all as everything I used it on so far has fallen or simply does not stick. Don’t waste your money and try a different brand!!
