I wanted an electric toothbrush for awhile and my husband surprised me with this one for Christmas (adulting,right? lol). I love the battery life - lasts a few days before needing to be charged again. It’s easy to pack for a weekend away if needed. Love how clean my teeth feel after using this compared to a regular toothbrush

Bad battery
The toothbrush is great with very good features but it is not worth the price for how bad the battery health is. I’ve had this brush for less than two months and the battery won’t hold up a charge and dies in the middle of a brush. Not worth the price at all.

Perfect toothbrush
This toothbrush helped a lot with my sensitive gums, i used to apply a lot of pressure with regular toothbrush but with the green light that is no longer an issue and it had helped a lot with recovering my gums health.

Horrible travel case.
The reason I purchased this model, even though I have another expensive Oral B toothbrush, was because I wanted a charging travel case. I was disappointed to find that instead of USB-C charging port, the case comes with a special plug and it's fitted for 110V. So in order to take this toothbrush abroad I need to bring this bulky plug AND an adapter for a different voltage. Ugh.

I bought this ORAL B TOOTHBRUSH SERIES 9 white color on August 8 2025 I’ ve had it for less than one month and today in the morning the toothbrush was fully charged and I was in the 1 minute brushing time it turned off by itself and it showed 0 juice in the charge. I put it to charge had to use my regular toothbrush and an hr later it showed 78% charged, I thought it was a glitch or something. I just brush again a few mins ago and the same exact thing happened it turned of by itself with 0% charge and I put it to charge again. I’m really disappointed buying an expensive brush and its quality, it’s a piece of crap.

I’ve been using the iO 9 for a little over a year now, and I’ll be honest — it makes my teeth feel dentist-clean every time. The pressure light is super helpful because I used to press too hard, and the different modes actually make a difference depending on whether I want a gentle clean or to really polish things up

WON'T HOLD CHARGE:(
Almost spending $300.00 for the unit, ALL OF A SUDDEN IT FAILED TO HOLD THE CHARGE!!! WHY??? HUGE DESIGN FLAW!!! I CANNOT FIND THE WEBSITE TO REPORT THE PROBLEM OR HOW TO GET A REPLACEMENT UNIT?!?!

Dangerous health hazard. Do not buy
Design flaw. There is a hole in the neck of the brush head, over time mold builds up and it's impossible to take apart and clean. Nothing fits in there to clean. All their suggestions of rinsing, wiping and air drying don't work. Build up/mold not covered by warranty. It's a health hazard. Do not recommend.

Clean smile
I have been using this now for about 3 weeks. I previously had the I07. I now have the i09 and I really like it. love the features on the app because it is a great help to brushing your teeth. I am able to brush my tongue as well as my teeth. I love the tong feature. It shuts off when you have reach the appropriate time in brushing your tong. The app also lets you know if you are brushing your teeth and getting them clean by showing the progress of your brushing. The timer is great so that you don't brush too long, but just long enough to get the right cleaning. When I brush my teeth they feel so smooth and clean. There is such a difference in using the OralB i09 and using a manual toothbrush. I am glad that I have switch to the Oral B. My teeth have never felt and looked better.

3 Brushes Have Broken Within a Year
I am a registered dental hygienist and I have had this brush for less than a year, using it twice daily. The power button (rubber) has fallen off and the brush will no longer charge. I also bought two other Oral B brushes for my family members—one of those will also not charge after only one week of use, and the other does charge, but no longer oscillates the brush head, rendering it useless. Between three people and three Oral B brushes, we do not have one working brush. Back to Sonicare I go.

Lasted less than 2 years
I purchased this toothbrush November 2022 and I absolutely loved it up until recently when the battery no longer held its charge. On a full charge, it only lasts for a few seconds and dies. I paid nearly $300 and I expected it to last for several more years. I really hope a representative will help rectify this issue as I have been a loyal Oral B costumer for years.

From a dental student, do not buy. Dont get me wrong, the toothbrush started out great, loved the features and different settings. After maybe 8 months now the toothbrush can’t hold a charge longer than 45 seconds and dies halfway through one brush. For an expensive toothbrush this should not happen. Oral B gave these to us to promote their product, needs a fix before I would recommend them to patients.

Amazing job & dentist recommended!
My previous Oral-B electric toothbrush lasted for 15 years. My dentist suggested this as a replacement. I bought it about 18 months ago. I missed my next two cleaning appointments (shh don’t judge) but when I went in last month they were amazed at how well the iO was maintaining my teeth at home! My dental cleaning was a breeze and I owe it all to my iO! It’s user friendly and does a fantastic job. The battery lasts a long time so I don’t always have to take my charger on trips.
