Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer + Hydrating Primer - Ulta Beauty

I really have no complaints about my skin, but when I put on this product my face feels softer and my re radiant.

Light, non-greasy, quickly absorbed. Leaves face feeling smooth and clear.

I usually use the Smashbox smooth and blur primer. Decided to try this one since I am older and my face is a little more on the dry side. It is okay as far as hydrating, but I prefer the blur finish much better than this one.

So I like the way my skin looks after putting this on. However, it does not leave my skin feeling silky as a primer should. I have used smashbox (green) for years to reduce redness before applying foundation. This product feels like just another skin product not a primer. I will probably return it as it doesn't help as a primer with filling in lines and using less makeup.

I've fought with primers and foundations for EVER. This is the ONLY one that helps foundation not look cakey and dry around my eyes. I only pray they never discontinue it. I only with they had larger sizes.

This is the only primer that looks great under my makeup. Where have you been my whole life?! Bonus it adds as a moisturizer for my dry flaky skin. Please never get rid of this or change it! My skin is so sensitive this is the only thing that works

So glad i snagged a few minis during the bogo mino sale. This feels great going on, has no scent, and keeps the dry flakes away that ive been struggling with. Love to use it under foundation or just under powder. Very happy. When the minis are gone i will be buying again for sure.

I can't tell a difference yet, maybe I'm not waiting long enough before applying foundation

Hello ladies! So ive been a smashbox girly for years since i was 17. Im currently 27 and my face has definitely changed within time. I used to be obsessed with photo finish oil free primer for years!!! But recently since i had my second child my face drastically changed within months. I started to notice the oil free primer was not doing me any favors. I recently made an online purchase and I received the primerizer and hydrating primer. Let me tell you ive used it once and I already love it!!! If your someone with dry skin this is definitely your go to primer!!! Will be purchasing the big size.

The Smashbox primer seems to be more moisturizing and does not leave a dry flaky texture like a some other brands I've tried.

Fantastic product! I'm 42 years old with very fair, very sensitive, pink-undertoned skin, with rosaceia on my cheeks. My once oily face has become dry and even more easily irritated with age. This primer is such a blessing for my redness. It feels wonderful going on, like it's just smoothing its way over any bumps or fine lines to create a lovely canvas for a few dots of foundation. Soothing and moisturizing, and it dries to a satin-soft feel. It doesn't pill under makeup, but I've learned to be pretty gentle with my skin so I don't give it much of a chance. The color correcting is the best I've found. Anyone with skin like mine knows that you can't rub or even dab something on your face without creating more redness... give your skin time to chill afterward before judging the coverage. Then compare photos with and without it, on multiple days. I bet you'll see a difference! One purchase lasts several months for me so it's a great buy.

I have really oily skin and this product only kept my skin shine free for like 4-6 hours. It does keep my skin blurred for photographs though.

Overall it's an okay primer but not as good as some of their others. It didn't do anything to hide the redness on my cheeks.

I’ve used sooo many primers in the last 15 years. I got a sample of this with an Ulta order last week and used it all up then was sad when it was gone. My makeup looked great and stayed on all day using this primer. It is hydrating yet lightweight. So I had to go buy more. I don’t know why people are rating it bad because it’s not clearing up their redness, that’s not what a primer does.

Still have redness on my lower cheeks, now with a slight green cast. I tried applying it with my fingers, with a makeup sponge, and with a brush - all with the same results. I tried applying more, less, and with/without serum too. I will say the texture is nice, it glides on easily and doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything. It has a nice mattifying effect, so although it did nothing for redness, I'll at least be using the rest of this tube under foundation.

I am so sad that they changed the formula. This leaves a green/yellow cast and just doesn't cover the way the old formula did. Please bring back the old primer!!

I have been using this primer for years since its release and no other primer has yet strayed me from it! Its finish is mattifying, lasts me about 8 hours before any oil peeks through my makeup. It is unscented. My only gripe is the packaging makes it hard to get what is left when the product is low. But I make a way haha!

I have very dry sensitive skin and do not have a lot of success with most makeup products, but this is a miracle product! Does not dry me out, cause breakouts, or pill on top of heavy moisturizers. It makes my pores basically invisible, makeup just glides on over it, and it keeps it on ALL DAY.

I'm 77 but still have oily skin. Smashbox Photo Finish Oil and Shine Control has been wonderful over the years, but I can no longer find it. I tried Photo Finish Control Mattifying primer with Salicylic Acid and was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. It doesn't control oil AT ALL, plus it causes my makeup to gather in my wrinkles.

this is awful, new formula like nothing, no primer, no color correction, what the heck?? trash, useless. looking at other brands now, this new formula going back!
