A: No. You will want a jar without a shoulder in order to place it in the freezer.

We do not recommend these jars for hot beverages, as they are made of annealed glass, not tempered glass.

We have never tested our jars for making yogurt. The jars are made out of annealed glass, not tempered glass and hot liquids should not be poured into the jars.

A: Hi -Z, thanks for reaching out regarding the Ball 32oz 4pk Glass Regular Mouth Rose Vintage Mason Jar with Lid and Band. The Ball Jars simply need to be washed in hot soapy water prior to use. If you are using the jars for canning, they should be simmered in a simmering pot (180degrees) prior to filling with your hot ingredients for canning.

Our canning jars are made of annealed glass; composed of soda, silica, lime, and cullet. The Ball® colored jars are made with tinted glass, the color is not added to, nor is it painted onto the jars.

It traps in any kind of scent or smell for the price unbeatable great packaging. Didn’t have to worry about nothing getting broke very versatile. Could use it for baby food. They are mason Jars, but they are NOT Pink. They are more of a light purple - - not even close to pink. Kept them because they served the purpose I bought them for, but definitely disappointed in the color.

Just bought them because they were the size I needed and cheaper than some of the others and only ones of the size and I love them. I use them to store left over sauces and I love that I am starting my own little collection of jars for food! They did not resemble anything like the picture. They have a zero texture as shown in the picture just smooth glass. The pink is barely noticeable.
