Almost unusable product
Very disappointed in this product. The holes are so large that the water pours right through without any time to soak the coffee grounds. I'm left with weak coffee with sludge at the bottom of my cup- exactly the opposite of what I hope for with an aeropress. I have had stainless steel filters for my aeropress before, but they were not aeropress brand, and they worked so much better. This product needs to be re-designed with smaller filtering holes. I will be purchasing the knock-off brands or compostable single-use filters instead.

Thank you for your review and your feedback. Kindly note that even when using the optimal medium-fine grind, it is normal for a minor amount of liquid to drip through prior to stirring and pressing. If a lot of liquid runs through prematurely, remember to shake to level the grounds and pour the water slowly. If an excess amount still runs through prematurely, you need to use a finer grind of coffee. One other tip is that you can insert the seal on the end of the plunger a half inch or so into the top of the chamber to stop drip-through. The seal stops drip-through just like putting your finger on the top of a straw stops dripping out of the bottom of a straw. We hope that this helps. If you have any questions, please send us a message at info @ aeropress . com and we would love to help. Best wishes, AeroPress, Inc.

Very Disappointing
I had been using the paper filters and started using the stainless steel fliter a few days ago. After 5 or 6 uses, I will say that the stainless steel filter has been a real disappointment. The hot water drips through too quickly, cleanup has been very messy, and worst of all the coffee doesn't taste as good. I'm going back to the paper filters. They worked really well. I do not recommend the stainless steel filter.

Dangerous waste of money
This filter is crap. The holes are too big, leading to wasted coffee, spills, and burns. Just use the compostable paper filters. This one is going in the recycling bin.

Great for traveling
Easy to use and clean. Particularly convenenient for camping and travel. Provides more of a full-bodied taste than with paper, which is a "cleaner" taste.

What texture!
This is an amazing addition to my AeroPress. I used it to make espresso and it rivals what I have at my favorite cafe. Highly recommend!

Nice addition to the Aeropress
This reusable filter is great - the only thing better is the Aeropress Clear coffee press. Not having to worry about running out of paper filters is a plus, and cleanup is very fast. All it takes is a quick rinse and it's ready for another use. Highly recommend!

Very satisfied!
For when you want to really minimize the space you’re carrying around for traveling and camping. Plus it provides and alternative flavour profile from the paper filters.

Easy breezy coffee-making
I bought the AeroPress Go and steel filter so I could have awesome coffee wherever I go. I travel a lot so it was important to keep things portable and lightweight. This reusable filter is a no-brainer. Though the filter requires rinsing off, it's honestly just as easy as throwing away the paper filters. The best part: my coffee is consistently delicious !

No Good
The holes are too wide, so the water streams straight through. I thought I could adjust the coffee grind to make it work, but all I've done is waste coffee. I've had trouble steadily getting my hands on the paper filters, as stores don't continue sell them, so I thought this would be a one and done purchase, but it's no good. You need the paper filter to get the right speed of water flow to properly brew the coffee.
