I love our new tea kettle

It randomly shuts off before reaching temperature. The display panel won't turn on unless you lift it off its base and set it back down. When you finally get the display on, pressing power to start heating turns it off instead. I'm done putting up with it, today it's going back to the fires of Mt Doom, where I assume it was originally (and ineptly) assembled.

This is the worst kettle we have ever used. It started leaking within the first week after we received it, and now, less than seven months later, the seal on the bottom has detached.

Seems well made and works as expected. Double wall makes for a good long time keeping the water hot - even after puoring some out! Digital functions are nice, perhaps a little bit more complex than necessary, but thought given to tea drinkers is respected. No instructions included...?

Returned the item and I am still waiting for a refund. Your customer service is pathetic.

The thing I like about this is there is no plastic on the inside of the kettle. Microplastics are the new health issue

I bought this THREE separate times, and returned it all three times because each kettle I received was very clearly used -- they had water stains, fingerprints, scratches, and dents. I never even tried using it. This is clearly a high-return item and I don't think target is taking the time to vet the returns to ensure they are new enough to be resold

Also, its so awesome that you can choose the temperature you want, it will also keep the water warm. I love the sleekness and design. Looks great in kitchen

I just got this kettle as a gift and at first glance it’s really sleek and modern. Love how it looks on my counter. Second, I love the temp settings. I just made matcha with the green tea temp and it’s perfectly creamy and not burnt. This is a perfect update for me - my old Hamilton beach kettle that I’ve had for at least 7 years was looking a little worse for wear.

It heats fast, holds a lot of water, the temperature adjustments seem to work well, the cord is adjustable, it's insulated, and I think it looks really nice. The temperature adjustments seem to work well. I'm not sure how accurate they are, but I can definitely taste a difference between the settings when I tried them making coffee. One really nice thing is that the kettle remembers the temperature setting you last used. I just have to set the kettle on the base, hit a button, and then it starts up. The kettle screen turns on when you set it on the base but you need to hit a button to start the heating. The kettle can also be turned off while on the base by touching the power button for a couple seconds. I usually just leave the kettle on the counter though. For the design of the kettle, I think it looks really nice. It's really tall and pretty narrow, so it doesn't take up a lot of counter space. The temperature display looks nice. I like how it shows you the temperature of the water when it's on. I also like the cord. It's a little over 2 feet long, and you can wrap it around the underside of the base to shorten it if you don't need it that long. I only have two issues with this kettle. The first is that a little water runs down the side of the kettle if you pour slowly. This is annoying when I need to add just a little bit more water to my drink since I feel like I have to pour quickly to prevent it from running down. This leads me to sometimes pour out more than what I wanted. The other issue is that the plastic on the inside of the handle has a seam that is kind of sharp. Luckily, it can be easily filed down. I think this kettle is already good as it is, but if they can tweak the spout so it doesn't drip and if they smooth out the plastic on the handle at the factory, this will be an excellent kettle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Digital Kettle is almost perfect. There are 5 preset temperatures. After choosing a temperature the kettle begins to heat immediately. The water heats quickly and the kettle keeps each temperature within 1 to 2 degrees. The keep warm feature works well and does shut off after 30 minutes if water is not poured right away. However, the max fill line in the interior is only on one side. So if filling the kettle while holding it with your left hand you do not see the max fill line. It would have been nice if there was an imprint of the preset temperatures on the handle or somewhere else on the kettle. Also, I would have preferred if the on/off button was more of a raised push button. All in all, the Kettle works very well.

Water heats quickly and at right temp for ramen. Also, perfect for hot tea. Small and compact, easily fits into the corner of your counter top. You'll not the water is ready for use when the kettle beeps

My four year-old granddaughter and I make tea and the kettle heats up quick enough that she doesn’t lose her patience or attention to our teatime. Not only does it look good on the counter, but it dries out quickly and there’s no hidden nooks for water to get trapped and gunk to form.

One of the standout aspects is the double-wall stainless steel construction. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach Digital Temperature-Control Double-Wall Kettle is the first electric kettle I have ever owned. My daughter told me I would really like having one. I absolutely do! This thing is great. It has a pop-open lid -- there is a button to press that releases the lid and it just pops up. When the kettle is on the base, it swivels to allow for convenient handling. It has Automatic Shutoff and Boil-dry Protection, which are excellent features. The HB Digital Kettle has two parts, the kettle and the base. It is easy to use. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water, set it on the base, choose a temperature, and it starts heating immediately. The kettle is for heating water only. No other liquids should be used. The temperature control has presets for 175, 180, 190, 200, and 212 degrees Fahrenheit. It can also be set to Celsius. I tested heating times starting each test with a cool kettle and cool water. I heated each to 212 degrees F. The results were: just under 3 minutes to heat 2 cups of water; close to 4-1/2 minutes to heat 4 cups; and about 6-1/2 minutes to heat 1.7 liters. The Keep Warm function held the water temperature at 204-206 degrees for 30 minutes. The one problem I found with the HB Electric Kettle is the MAX Fill Line inside the kettle is only visible on one side. Unfortunately, in order to see the max line while filling the kettle you need to fill it from the left side or the lid gets in the way. Great if you are left handed, not so much for us righties. I would prefer the max fill line be all the way around the inside of the kettle, or at least on both sides. Not a well thought out design. Over All, I find The Hamilton Beach Digital Temperature-Control Double-Wall Kettle to be good looking, easy to use, and handy to have in the kitchen. I recommend it to anyone who likes hot beverages.
