Dyson Air Purifier Cool PC1 White

We bought this unit about a month ago and we are extremely happy. Our friends bought another brand and now they are going shopping for a Dyson Purifier like ours.

Nothing fancy, however it gets the job done, especially for pet dander or other small particle allergies. Not recommending it for large space like living rooms but small space like study rooms or spare rooms. No complaint here.

The Dyson PC1 air purifier, while featuring a sleek design, quiet motor at lower to mid-range settings, commendable filtration, and an intuitive visual display, ultimately fails to justify its premium price point. Despite its aesthetic appeal, its performance does not significantly differentiate it from more economically priced alternatives currently available. The device operates quietly, yet exhibits considerable noise at higher fan speeds. The improved app connectivity, a notable enhancement over previous models like the Dyson Purifier Cool at the same price, should have been integrated into earlier iterations given the pre-existing availability of such technology. The fundamental function of air purification is adequately fulfilled, but without groundbreaking features or superior efficiency to warrant the Dyson branding and associated cost. The precise measurement of air coverage remains unclear, as it is inherently influenced by room layout and furniture arrangement. Furthermore, Dyson's apparent efforts to solicit user-generated content for promotional purposes by prompting customers to tag the device in photographs appear disingenuous and detract from the overall user experience. In essence, the PC1 is a stylish air purifier that delivers on its core promise, but its substantial cost and marketing strategies overshadow its otherwise unremarkable performance. Consequently, the PC1 air purifier is awarded a rating of two stars.

Not really impressed by the purification system. The cooling fan is good but I really can’t justify the price point. I think I may be returning it

I bought this I thought it was faulty as the airflow was so poor. I returned it to the store and got another one to find it was not faulty. It is just a really pure quality airflow. Very disappointed as thought Dyson was going to provide a quality product. Looks good, but could not feel the cool air at all! Not worth the money. Returned and got a full refund!

Doesn’t visibly such up anything, dust or pet hair which I sort of expected and if I knew that it wouldn’t, I wouldn’t spend nearly 500 on this. It also doesn’t really cool, it has a slight cold ish air flow but if it’s hot it does nothing which again, I wouldn’t have paid nearly 500 for it if I knew this and would have got a non branded purifier that sucks things up and a real cooling fan.

I bought this around a month ago and it is superb. The airflow is fresh due to the unique way it goes through the filter. It is so controllable through the app and remote. Through the app you can set positions to centre it, so easy. Filer like and air quality is on there too. The cost is with it, You can see the difference in quality. the packaging is easily the best I have seen to use just cardboard. Really excellent,

Bought this for a newly built sunroom that I enjoy smoking cigars in. The unit seems to be doing extremely well.

The product page said it dealt with VOCs, and support have confirmed this since, but there's STILL no support for monitoring this in the app, and it doesn't appear to react to it. It's not as good as some of their older models, so it might be worth buying secondhand to get a better machine.

I bought this purifier to help with pet dander etc. We have a large lounge and 3 large dogs and this fan gives great coverage for such a large room. Its so quite and the airflow is amazing. The controls are easy to use wheather that be on the fan itself or the remote. Downloading the app gives great information for the air quality in the local area and within our home. I love checking all the information it provides and there is a fantastic support/trouble shooting network provided know the app. I was so impressed with the purifier, I bought one for my Dads home and my daughter for her room at uni. Up to now, we have found no negatives with anything and I'm interested to find out how long the filter will last as we have it on everyday.

Very easy to control (manual or via the App), very quiet. Even on the lowest setting and 45 degree oscillation, it makes sufficient difference to the temperature and atmosphere in our loft-conversion study, even in the stifling heat of July/August. Our Energy Smart Meter shows the cost is negligible for the few hours per day we have had it running. Overall, very pleased.

Not a very good fan. More of an air purifier. I had a Dyson desk cool fan before and is more powerful.

Bought this a month ago and so far it’s freaking AMAZING! I have it near my laundry room where the cats liter box lives. And no one knows there’s a poo box around. Which is the whole purpose! So go buy one.

I did not feel there was any difference so I returned the purifier.

I have owned 4 different air purifiers and this ranks last. Perhaps I have a bad unit but my other purifiers ramp up when the air quality is bad and slow down once the air quality improves. My other air purifiers are constantly adjusting the airflow. The Dyson does not change. The air quality is constantly good and the airflow never changes, which I find hard to believe but perhaps it is. I will continue to monitor this unit over the fall and see if anything changes.

Excellent product. I was so impressed with the cooling and air flow I have purchased them for my daughters. They love them as well.

I’ve had my Dyson PC1 Air purifier fan for about a month now and I like everything about it. It looks good, it’s made well, it filters the air inside my house, and works as a fan as well.

The only reason we did not give it 5 stars was because the initial set-up was very frustrating. After about 20 minutes of being plugged in it suddenly started connecting to the app and responding to inputs. In retrospect, I would advise plugging it in, loading the app and connecting to WiFi and just let it sit for 30 minutes. I think the software does an update and it’s just slow. Other than that, this purchase was to give our older Dyson purifier a break. It’s over 5 years old and still runs fine but we felt it was time to upgrade and use the old fan as back-up, if needed. This makes a total of 3 Dyson purifiers in our house! We love them!
