Q: I really wanted to like these. I have tried them several times and everytime I find 3-4 dishes that are not clean. Why is it happening. I even rinse my dishes off before putting them in the DW. Has anyone used 2 tabs instead of 1?

We recommend scraping off chunks of food before loading the dishwasher (no need to rinse). We also recommend trying a cycle with a longer pre-wash, and hotter water temperature, if possible. Additionally, we suggest placing more stained dishes or cups on the bottom rack!

  • A: Yes! For smaller appliances, (like the Momcozy baby bottle washer/sterilizer), we recommend using ¼ of a Blueland Dishwasher Detergent Tablet. These machines use much less water than a standard dishwasher, so a smaller amount of detergent is usually more effective and helps prevent residue! If breaking the tablet into quarters is tricky, you can use 1/2 of a tablet. Just be sure to rinse thoroughly after the cycle!

    Yeah, they dont work?

    These don’t work AT ALL. Like don’t dissolve, dont clean, build up everywhere. I’ve had to wash my last 3 loads of dishes twice bc they’re not working or dissolving. White residue.. just crap. I wish they made a cleaner liquid detergent but back to the toxic stuff I guess LOL

    They actually work!

    Don't buy these, they're horrible!

    Absolutely terrible! leaves a sandy film on dishes. Glasses now look scratched. Wanted a better/safer alternative to the regular dishwashing tablets but common! Do we have to sacrifice quality for a better/safer alternative that ruins your dishes.

    These leave residue all over dishes. Seems like that’s worse than regular dishwasher pods like cascade. If I’m getting microplastics that I can’t even see, that seems better than getting whatever powder is left coating everything is in the dishwasher.

    Tried it for three months, honest review, didn't work.

    Okay, an HONEST review. I used this for three months to test it out. Each time I used it I used two of them, I did the heaviest wash cycle with the hottest water. At first, I thought it was working. I could even put dishes in without rinsing them. They would come out perfectly clean. It was lovely. I would also do a splash of vinegar into the dishwasher to help alongside the soap to decrease odor, grease, buildup. But now three months into testing it, I have had to switch back to a toxic, plastic using, dishwasher cleaner. I didn’t notice it in the beginning, but there’s a lot of buildup, grease, residue either from the food or from the soap. I kind of ended up having to wash everything over again with a different soap. It also left a buildup in my dishwasher, which led to it start having a smell to it, even though I was regularly cleaning my dishwasher while using this product. Once I stopped using this product, I had to do a deep clean on my dishwasher. I am really disappointed because I would’ve loved to make the switch and my search isn’t over yet, but I will be trying a different product next time. 0/10. They need to go back to the formula and try again.

    Residue

    Leaves behind way too much residue to the point I have to either re-wash pots by hand because some leaves a ton of residue on my pot and I have to rinse everything after they’ve been washed by these every time I’ve used these so far.

    My dishes go in completely dirty and come out clean

    We run our dishwasher 2-3x a day and we don’t rinse our dishes. They go in fully dirty. I have to clean the dishwasher filter daily because of this. I’d previously used the “advanced” type of dishwasher pods. Powder and liquid dishwasher detergents from the big brands do not work for us unless I add rinse aid and citric acid and it’s just a big ordeal so the “advanced” style gel packs are what we were stuck using. I started looking into switching to a healthier option about 6 months ago and I’ve tried a few different brands but I’m consistently impressed with Blueland. I’ve bought many bags of it and my dishes come out just as clean as when we used “advanced” gel packs. I have not purchased the container to hold the pods- we just use the bag and I love how compact it is to store.
