The black insert has rough brown specks on the rim. Not smooth before the black glaze was put on. The back of the base has a crimp in the metal. Works good. Good locking seal on it.

It does the job, but it lacks many of the bells and whistles that would make it really a preferred addition to your kitchen. There is no programmable timer, steam vent, or locking lid for travel. The best feature of the crock pot is the depth, it's great for larger roasts or other things that need more space.

Stainless Steel Digital Slow Cooker makes it possible to cook meals at home without standing over the stove or even being confined to the kitchen. I like that I don’t have to use any cooking oil with whatever dish I’m preparing in this slow cooker and so far everything has tasted amazing, juicy and tender. This beautiful stainless steel digital slow cooker has high, low and warm settings but they aren’t preset, once you set it on high, low or warm you can adjust the temperature within that range. I really like being able to start dinner when I leave for work and able to serve dinner when I get home from working without having to cook a big dinner. One of my favorite things about this slow cooker is cleaning up, cleanup is a breeze with being able to take the stoneware pot out and put in the dishwasher along with the lid or you can easily wash them in the sink with warm soapy dish water. I would highly recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Elite Platinum slow cooker looks impressive right out of the box. The stainless steel outer pot is a nice touch to the appearance of the slow cooker. The digital display is easy to read and to set. The 8.5qt is a large slow cooker and can easily hold a very large meal. When cooking with the slow cooker the outside does get very warm and cation should be taken to not touch anything but the handles on the side of the cooker. The lid sits securely on the pot. The only complaint I have is with the electrical cord. The cord is very short in my opinion and I had to rearrange other items on the cabinet in order to accommodate for the short cord.

I also love that when setting the time, it goes in half hour increments. Some crockpots only give you 4, 6 or 8 hour options but you can set this one for the exact amount of time you want, which is great. The ceramic insert is super easy to clean and very heavy duty. It’s also dishwasher safe, which is a win in my book every time! I’ve cooked a couple of meals in it and it’s cooked evenly both times, so I’m a happy mom! It makes meals quick and easy and I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this slow cooker! It has a high, low and warm feature that allows you to adjust the time for each setting up or down. They aren't just pre-set settings that don't allow you to adjust the settings. Example - if you press high, it's not preset to cook for 4 hours on high. You can adjust to 4 1/2, 5 or 3 hours - however long you want it to cook. The same feature for low. It's super easy to understand and use without having a lot of extra features that I can't figure out how to use or aren't necessary. I would definitely recommend this slow cooker to anyone looking for a simple, yet high quality slow cooker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Elite Platinum 8.5 qt Stainless Steel Digital Slow cooker is huge, and looks super sleek setting on the counter! I cooked a very large chuck roast with all the fixins in it this weekend, and there was still plenty of room left! It heated quickly, and was simmering away even on low in no time. The digital settings are easy to read and operate, but I found a couple of small flaws. It turns itself completely off at the end of the timer setting, and I really wish there was an option for it to turn to warm when the timer went off. What if you are late coming home because of an emergency, and now your food has been turned off for hours and is ruined. Unlikely I know, but still possible. Also there isn't a way to not set a timer. You can adjust the time of course, but no way to turn it off completely. It goes up really high though, so you can plan ahead and adjust is for way longer than you think you might be. Not a major flaw, just something I thought about. Other than that this thing is awesome though! I really like how the lid fits so well. My other slow cooker the lid was wonky, and half the time I would notice it wasn't completely flush. My roast turned out super tender, and it was easy to clean up! I use a slow cooker at least once a week, and I see this one being part of my kitchen for a very long time to come!

This appliance is really easy to use. The digital screen is so handy for keeping track of the cooking times. I no longer have to worry about overcooking food since this slow cooker will switch to off on it's own once the time is up. This appliance is also very easy to clean. You can definitely tell that this slow cooker is heavy duty and very durable. I absolutely love this slow cooker and I highly recommend this product.

The outside is very modern looking. It has easy to use features that include a handy time set, and warm, low and high settings. The stoneware pot is easy to remove and clean. The instruction book came with some great recipes too, like Italian meatballs and chicken merlot w mushrooms! I was excited to try a few new recipes. The size of the slow cooker makes it easy to cook family size meals, or freezer meals! Easy to use, clean and store! I highly recommend this slow cooker.

It works wonderfully. The lid fits nice and this 8.5 qt slow cooker is a good size for large meals which is perfect for my family of 10. The controls are so simple to operate. I love that I can set the timer and temp and walk away. I don't have to worry about overcooking. The crock is super easy to clean and is dishwasher safe. Love the large size but was under the impression that it had the locking lid for easy storage and transport. Works good for what I need it for.

I was excited when I saw how many servings of a recipe I would be able to fit into this! I used this the first day, and was able to double my recipe, and it easily fit. The quality seems very good and is sturdy. The only thing I wish it had was that it made a sound when the time was up. I was cooking on high and then wanted to switch to low so I just had to keep checking it until time was up. It does automatically switch to warm so it keep your food warm which I like but just wish it made a sound when the time was up that I set. Other than that, I like it!
