Not the Rowenta it Once was

Perfect starch jeans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great iron. It has upgraded features like fabrics selection, steam and water spray. I like the water spray because I didn’t have to use a separate bottle anymore. The cord retraction is great too. I also like the color and it comes in many colors. It gave off nice heat to perfect starch cowboy jeans( for my son). I didn’t give it 5 stars because the Instructions were a little confusing to figure out where certain things were and some quirks about getting it to turn on and off ( it’s all automated) and doesn’t have a per say power button but I figured it out. It also was not great to fill it. I spilled twice it’s at an odd angle when pouring. So you’ll need a pitcher and not a jug. It’s heavier and longer than most irons so that’s either a plus for you or not. You can really cover more ground quicker and not have to press as hard because of the weight. Overall I love it.

Great quality steam iron
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great quality iron that seems very well made. It heats up extremely fast and was easy to use. I was able to iron several shirts very quickly and am satisfied with the outcome. The retractable electrical cord is handy. The reservoir for the water is large and the opening is big enough that pouring water in is easy and relatively mess free. I highly recommend this steam iron.

Great Iron

I like the ease of using it and it irons the tough cotton clothes very easily. Water dispensing is easy and easy to store it back after you are done.

The unit has no power for the job.
I received the new unit two days ago. I used it today and found that it isn't good. The unit has no heating and steam power due to its lower power (1750W). It is rather disappointed. I have had and always had many Rowenta steam irons for more than 50 years and was very satisfied with them. This new one (Rownta Excellence model) is below par for Rowenta brand.

Save your money
The cord auto rollback feature failed in 2 weeks. The button is stuck and the cord is always being pulled back in. :(

The Brand
I fully support this brand, will never use another iron. It basically irons for itself. My other Rowenta developed an electrical shortage and wasn't working properly so I ordered a new one. The Cadillac of Irons!

None other than Rowenta
After 15 years my Rowenta was having plug issues but still worked. So I ordered this and ne an upgrade to my previous. It glides on clothes and make ironing effortless In fact this is my 3 rd one and they all lasted forever Worth every penny and in the long run cheaper than a basic

Nice and Heavy
This iron is excellent. Unlike other models, it is nice and heavy, so it actually does the job or ironing out wrinkles. We also like the temperature controls that list particular fabrics rather than just "low" and "high". Lastly, we purchased this model because it has the retractable cord, which has not disappointed. We highly recommend it.

Iron Weight distribution
The weight of the bottom end with the cord extended out is still more than I care for. I believe one without the retractable cord would work better for me.

Dial issues
I have used and loved the Rowenta irons for many, many years. With this new one, I find the dial harder to turn to adjust setting. Other than that, it works great!

Great iron,but only one problem
This is a great iron. It has a very large water window that I can actually see the water through. My only problem with this item is that it spirs out water while I'm ironing. That I really don't like at all.

Great steam iron
Nice, heavy iron with lots of steam holes. It did leave a few spots of water during ironing. Other then that, it’s an excellent iron.
