I absolutely love this product as I have a different purpose for what I use it for I actually use it for my eyebrows and it is amazing I love to put on every morning and also use the brush which is amazing as well and this is just such a good product even though it's eyeliner I do use it for my eyebrows don't knock it till you try it

Awful- do not buy. It will flake onto to the skin under your eye within minutes.

I got this in the ebony black and while I will say it does have good pigment and glide, those are the only good things about it. This stuff is awful!!! Never have I had a non-liquid eyeliner smear and run as much as this stuff. It didn't even make it an hour. All day long I was constantly having to fix under my eyes and wipe away the raccoon look...I didn't even apply it to my lower lash line! More than once I had a coworker ask if I had been crying and rubbing my eyes, that's how messy this stuff was. I'm not sure how this is still being sold, but you need to fix the formula or discontinue it because this eyeliner is terrible. Waste of money, I've used cheaper that behaved better. If you're looking for a good liner this ain't it.

Simply the Best eyeliner. I have ALWAYS used this one, since my teens; I make up every single day. I was going to contact maybelle to complain that there does not seem to be as much product in a stick; I am going through a brownish/black in weeks! I admit I was upset. I had never visited your website, however. I have taken a step back. Your commitment to mental health in girls and women is commendable! Certainly body image and beauty perception looms largest in preteen life; and social media is not helpful. I would honestly suggest you address this issue in your advertising; one life would be worth the price. So, instead of crabbing at the diminished quantity of eyeliner in each stick, I applaud your focus on the total girl/young woman. I will visit your website frequently after this and maybe get out of my comfort zone and try a new look some day. Regardless, the Brownish/Black eyeliner is THE BEST PRODUCT, PERIOD. I have always used the product, I will always use it And your website is socially responsible, attractive, and informative. Congratulations. Well done.

Horrible smears really bad doesn’t stay on good

Smudges all over your eyelids/cheeks, and doesn’t last at all. Avoid!!

I've used this product for years now. Even my daughter who buys very expensive makeup borrowed mine and then took it for herself. So many liners just put hardly any product on your skin and some you have to press hard to get it to even show up. This one is great!!

The Maybelline Define a Line Eyeliner is one of my go-to drugstore liners. It's super black and incredibly cream, so you don't have to tug at your lids at all to get great color payoff. However, because it is so creamy, it can smudge pretty easily, so you have to be careful how you wear this. When I tightline with it, it transfers to my lower lashes and makes a mess, so I wouldn't recommend it for that. However, the emollient nature of the product is great for creating a smudged, smokey eyeliner look. So this won't be an eyeliner for everyone, but if you like smudging out your liner, this is a great, budget-friendly option.

I’ve literally been using this product for about 15 years. I love it. I use it to line my lash line and then smudge it out a bit. Never had it transfer or run or anything so I’m not sure what these other ladies are doing. I highly recommend it. I’m fair with blue eyes and use the brown black color with black mascara.

I don’t understand poor reviews!! This goes on smoothly and stays all day! I do not line my waterline-and maybe that’s where people are having issues. It’s the perfect brownish black.

I LOVE this eyeliner and have been using the brown black for years. I don't know how other people wear their eyeliner, but I've always lined my upper lashes only and never had a problem with it for everyday use. Love that's is smudgy enough to fill in my lashes to give a fuller look without looking obvious. The few times I have lined my lower lids, this does go on lightly and smudges, but you can go over it again to get a darker look. It stays for me just fine even though I have oily skin. I even asked my makeup coordinator to use this for my wedding because her professional stuff didn't hold. Bonus that this doesn't have any nasty chemicals in it (PFOS). Please don't discontinue this, smudgyness is a preference and I won't use any other kind of eyeliner!
