Head and shoulders works better than this
Thought I’d get a different shampoo a try to leave my hair healthy and clean . COMPLETELY did the opposite. I’m used to washing my hair every four days. I had to wash my hair every day to get the sticky greasy texture out of the scalp in the back of my head. My scalp would have this awful smell, which usually DOES not. Thought maybe I didn’t rinse it out all the way, so I took a shower and completely rinsed all the soap out of my hair but no, it’s the shampoo leaving this greasy sticky residue in my hair. Would not recommend. Head and shoulders works way better than this.

New formula
Been using this for YEARS. Literal years. But since the formula change, I need to find a new brand. Before, I could go a month with this shampoo before using a clarifying. Now? I have to use a clarifying every other day to get the residue off my hair. The formula change has left a heavy, thick film on my hair after every use since the change. I’m disappointed I have to hunt for a new shampoo again.

Recipe changed, completely different shampoo. Dry.
I hate to give such a negative review, as I've been using shea moisture for a few years now. The new recipe strips my hair of moisture and makes it look dry and flat. It no longer helps with my hair texture, which is hard enough to find products for to begin with. The thicker blend for the previous formula, along with the natural ingredients that have now been removed were a far better choice. Now the feel is generic and unhelpful for curlier hair, the reduction in non chemical ingredients is extremely apparent. The only upside was the lather improvement, but it isn't really worth it given that it's basically a different product at this point. I really hope shea moisture takes feedback into consideration since a lot of people have needed to switch hair products entirely due to the many recipe changes made recently. It is not just for the daily hydration ones.

I have never had an issue aswith this ine... Left my hair like heavy and hard to get my fingers through weird... because my hair is always soft and never tangles... Super weird! I've used a lot of coconut products because I love the smell but this one was not for me! I had to wash my hair twice with baby shampoo to get rid of the texture that the shampoo left on my hair.

Leaves gross sticky residue. Doesnt wash out
I tried to use this a handful of times. Each time, I had to get back in the shower to get the sticky shampoo residue off my hair. It was disgusting and I've never used a worse shampoo

Refreshing!
I have been using this Shea Moisture on my daughter's hair and mine for weeks now. I love the way it leaves our hair feeling and smelling! We have really thick curly hair so its always hard finding a product that actually cleanse and nourish our hair but this one gers the job done! It doesnt leave my hair feeling brittle or dry. After a nice wash with this Shea Moisture shampoo, I feel so refreshed! Im definitely a fan of Shea Moisture products amd always will be!

This shampoo is amazing! It gives a great start to styling. It hydrates your hair and feels refreshed after every wash. It snells like Summer in a bottle!!! I wish the bottles were bigger as I go through a lot of it!!! Highly recommend!!
