Did not cover redness
I received this product for free from Smashbox for testing and review purposes. I really wanted to love this primer, but it did not do much for my redness. As somebody with type 2 rosacea, I was hoping for more color correction and calming effects. The texture feels smooth and lightweight, and it layers nicely under makeup without pilling. However, I still noticed a lot of redness showing through after application. It may work better for mild redness, but it was not effective enough for my skin concerns.

Smooth oil free skin!
I gave this primer a try a few weeks ago & I was completely amazed how quickly it calmed my redness down. I have redness around my cheeks, nose & chin are & I never really did anything about besides putting my foundation right on top but this primer is very lightweight & leaves you with a smooth even base. Your foundation shade will look so much better without the redness of your skin affecting the tone/shade of your foundation.

I've tried many primers over the years, and this is the first one that I can say I will continue using, and won't end up in the graveyard pile of skincare…The product texture when applying almost melts into your skin, no greasy feeling, no pilling. I tried it without makeup first to see how it performed on its own. It mattifyed my nose/cheek areas, and actually DID lessen the appearance of redness. Since it passed that test, I went ahead and applied makeup over it. I really did not expect it to make as much of a difference as it did. I'm used to my makeup melting right off, as my nose area gets oily, especially in this 85 degree heat. Surprisingly, I had to double cleanse later to remove the foundation from my face. It was like it locked it in place. I'm very impressed. I'd never even heard of this brand before trying this product. Where has this been all my life?! FYI a little goes a long way too. Great Primer!
I was pleasantly surprised by this primer. It's very green and a little bit goes a long way. Once it's blended you don't notice the green color but it really does neutralize the redness. It works very well as a primer and helps make up stay in place, even on my oily skin. I like the texture. It doesn't dry with a tacky feeling like a lot of primers do. It has a nice smooth finish. Takes the red out!
Don't let the green color of the primer deter you from trying this primer. The green tone expertly cancels out the red tone in your skin. I struggle with rosacea and often look like I have a mask on. This primer gave me an even tone that I have not seen in years!

This primer really impressed me. It feels really nice on my skin under my makeup, there was no issues with pilling applied after my skincare routine either. I really think it helped reduce the redness in my old acne scars and made my makeup look and stay on all day. I also didn't notice any new breakouts after using this for a month. It's already been a big help after the beach when I got to much sun and it helped conceal the redness from that as well. This is definitely my new favorite primer!! Unique primer
I had never used a redness-reducing primer before and it's a cool concept. The green color (which thankfully disappears as soon as you rub it in) was a little gimicky. It applied smoothly and worked great as a base for makeup. It felt lightweight and not heavy or sticky. As for the redness-correcting aspect, I only noticed a slight difference. I think it would work well for someone who wants to reduce redness on their whole face or a larger area. I only have redness below my cheekbones and I still needed to apply concealer to hide it. This is one of the best primers I've used! I've tried it with two different foundations and two different concealers and it worked great with all of them. It does a terrific job toning down my redness and makes my makeup look flawless. It's very hydrating and soothing. It's lightweight and breathable. I love that it contains skincare ingredients. This is definitely the primer I will be using from now on!

Hi! I received this product for free from topbox to give an honest review. Y'all -- I'm OBSESSED with this primer. I cannot believe how even and smooth it made my face! I run red and it completely took all the red out. I was confused when it was green but trusted the process. It makes me look like I have a full coverage face concealer on!!! I put my CC and SPF on after and I couldn't believe it. I will absolutely buy this product after trying it. They got me y'all!! 🙃

I received this in exchange for an honest review. This primer did a nice job reducing the redness I have on my cheeks. I applied it after my usual skin care routine and it felt very soft and smoothing on the skin. A little bit of product went a long way and provided visible results. I would definitely give this a try if you struggle with redness too.

Glow in green
I have used the smashbox anti redness primer on a few occasions. Some days I use it under makeup and some just on its own or under sunscreen. I didn't notice a difference compared to not using and other redness product. I used a pea sized amount as is in the directions. I did like that it didn't feel like a greasy silicone product like past primers have felt. But unfortunately for me I just didn't see any noticeable improvement in my look. Blurred & hydrated
The primer had a green tint to it and felt lightweight. I immediately noticed that the primer neutralize the redness and my skin wad cool and hydrated. My foundation set amazingly and held up against our humidity we have here in Oklahoma. There was no caking in my fine lines or irritation to my skin.
