I’m normal on my cheeks, but oily on my T-zone. This is perfect for non-makeup days or when my face feels a little drier, but because of my oily parts, I prefer the ultra-light SPF lotion for makeup days. Definitely would recommend. Another winner from Cerave!

I like how this feels on my face. For me, if I am wearing my Laura Geller liquid foundation, I don’t wait for this lotion to “dry down” as my foundation blends better. If I am wearing the LG powder foundation, then I like to wait about 20 minutes. I like that this has an spf of 50. I don’t spend a lot of time outside, but I like knowing that I am protecting my face skin. I am very fair with blue eyes and my dermatologist recommended this to me at my last appointment. (Ps. I am reviewing a product that I purchased myself.)

Accidentally purchased instead of the regular SPF30 version and I am extremely disappointed. It has a bad smell and feels greasy.

This product didn’t help me a lot. As a brown skin girl it leaves after application a white film making my skin gray very uncomfortable and since 2 months of use haven’t seen great moisturizing effect. You really have to work on that cerave. with all the reviews… no disappointed

Sadly, couldn't wait to get this off my face. Stinging. Uncomfortable. Miserable. Flushed and hot. The good: When you put it one, it looks like it's going to be shiny and greasy, but once it dries down, zero white cast (I'm fair-skinned), and it get more skin-like - which which really surprised me. Lighter-weight than expected. Happy it was 50. I won't wear anything lower. Really disappointed it wasn't water-resistant (should have looked closer) which means I could only wear it inside. Granted, I have super sensitive skin, but wasn't expecting so much irritation. Rinsed it off, after an hour. Thinking it was a fluke, I tried it three times. No change. I bought this with my own money after it was recommended by my derm. So many derms recommended it online. Won't be listening to them again. Real bust.

I use the SPF 30 version of this sunscreen every day, and it works fine for me. The experience of using this SPF 50 sunscreen is totally different from the SPF 30. This one goes on much smoother (no pilling), is slightly more ecru/yellowy in color, and there is a strong sunscreen smell that does NOT go away. I am also ALLERGIC to something is this one! I read the active ingredients because I know I am allergic to some chemical sunscreens, but the actives in this are also in the SPF 30, just in different amounts. It must be an inactive ingredient, possibly the soybean oil. This lotion made my neck and back of my ears itch (I didn’t even put it behind my ears). I also started getting pimples around my nose the first day I used this, and my face felt raw and irritated after I washed it at the end of the day. This lotion SUCKS if you actually have sensitive skin (which is the point of CeraVe, right?). I don’t know why they market this like it’s similar to the SPF 30 because it is not.

The bad: Got a swollen eyelid and clogged pores after two daily applications. Second day I got a bad headache. Washed it off and felt better after an hour or so. The good: I didn’t think it left too bad of a white cast and it smelled like regular sunscreen to me. Wished it had worked, but the headache was enough for me to not want to use it ever again. Money wasted.

Would not buy - can’t wear it before make up

I wanted to love this product but when I put it on before make up lumps up - I barely use any make up too so can’t imagine this with a proper foundation. I can’t use it and wish I could return it but got it at a Duane reade. The consistency is also too heavy and white, zinc like.

Lately I've been skipping primer cause this lotion is ultra Moisturizing. I live in Floida where the climate is usually humid and sunscreen is a must for me. This is truly the best face lotion with SPF 50 that I have ever used. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this product. I am so glad that I found this lotion when I did.

☹️ so terrible my skin swelled up, skin peeled, eyelids so swollen and burned so bad i couldn’t open them don’t exactly know which ingredient(s) caused it but im only allergic to metal so if you are to STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT ☹️☹️☹️☹️
