Q: Hard to swallow? I have problems with large caps and these look large.
A: Yes this is a big concern for me too hope you will show size of pill.

submitted byFmz - 11 months agoA: Thanks so much for your question! Our DS-01® Daily Synbiotic capsule is size 00—that’s 0.917 inches long with a diameter of 0.322 inches, to be exact. We wouldn't recommend opening or tampering with the DS-01® Daily Synbiotic capsules in any way, as our ViaCap® is especially designed to ensure the bacteria stay alive through digestion and make it to the colon. That said, you may certainly try experimenting with how you may be able to tolerate the capsules—any method in which you can preserve the 2-in-1 ViaCap® capsule would be perfectly fine. Q: I see you take 2 capsules a day, but what is the best way to take them? With food? Without food? AM/PM? With water or juice? Thanks!
A: You didn't read the directions it says the first three days take one and after that start taking two to see if your stomach in the a.m. and you don't have to have food on your stomach. You can take it with whatever you want to drink it with

We suggest taking the capsules on an empty stomach to limit exposure to digestive enzymes and bile salts, but if it’s more comfortable for you to take DS-01® before/after a meal or alongside food, we encourage you to choose the best method for you. Taking the capsules with water or juice is also absolutely fine. There is no best time of day to take them— we recommend whatever fits best into your routine!

Q: I haven't noticed anywhere on the packaging in store, nor in the product description here if the probiotic's potency is the same at expiration as at the time of manufacture. Is this the case?

Q: Is this ok to take if you are taking statins for cholesterol?
A: Hi there—great question! There are no known contraindications between probiotics and medications; therefore, DS-01® Daily Synbiotic would be generally safe to take alongside prescription or over-the-counter medication(s). For some additional background (which may be helpful to discuss with your doctor) there may be some potential interactions of pomegranate (mostly in juice form) and certain medications such as statins. For context, statins are metabolized by an enzyme called cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4). One review [1] shows that pomegranate juice may affect CYP3A4-mediated drugs. However, one study [2] found that pomegranate juice did not seem to have clinically relevant inhibitory potential on CYP3A4 activity, specifically looking at simvastatin. Ultimately, we always recommend consulting with a prescribing physician about combining DS-01® and any medications you may be taking, as they can provide personalized guidance based on your full health history and the specific medications. A: Seed conducts comprehensive allergen testing on all of our products. Our allergen panel includes over 20 of the most common allergens, including all 14 classes of allergens as defined by the European Food and Safety Authority (EFSA). This panel extends well beyond the minimum 8 allergens required to test by the FDA. However, it’s important to note that the FDA has established no clear guidelines for what it means to be “free” of allergens." Therefore, for maximal transparency and integrity, Seed conducts this testing on all of our products and ensures any substance present in our products is at a level below an established reference dose––the Eliciting Dose, or ED-01, which is grounded in clinical evidence and is considered the most precise method for assessing allergenicity. The ED-01 is the eliciting dose required to produce an objective [allergic] response in 1% of the allergic population. All allergens we test for are below the ED-01, so our probiotics are therefore considered to be safe for those with allergies to the tested-for allergens.
