Great iron!!
I have had this iron for 2 months now and I love it. Every setting works and the steam is powerful. I thought it was broken the first time I plugged it in. It took awhile to see how to operate it. I hit that button on the side and it gave me the different options. It has been working well every since I purchased it. It’s an automatic shutoff and I empty the water out when I am done.

Very disappointed
Upon opening up my item at home I noticed that this iron had been used and obviously returned. There were water droplets in water reservoir as well as markings on the plate of iron:( very frustrating

Do not buy the product, it is terrible. The cord catch's on everything and it dosen't retract fully. it can not iron cotton without sticking even if the fabfic it damp. I have never owned such a poor excuse for and iron before.

I Can't Recommend
October 21, 2025: I purchased this Sunbeam iron on March 3, 2025 and used it, on average, 3 times a week. Until yesterday. I plugged it in and it lit up. But it never got hot. It's a goner. I opted for this mid-priced Sunbeam after first purchasing their 1200 watt model which, once unboxed, seemed super-wimpy. So I upgraded to this thinking, mid-range should be okay since I don't expect it to last more than 5 years (isn't it sad that manufacturer’s no longer take pride in their goods). I really thought this would last longer, but 7 months? What a disappointment. I've used higher priced irons in the past and IMHO they're not worth the added expense. But an iron that doesn’t last a year? I don’t care how much you pay for an appliance, they should last longer than that. Based on my experience, I’d pass on this one.

Problems with retractable cord.
Was excited about this iron. Loved the many temp settings and digital use. As soon as I took it out of the box, I found it VERY heavy. Then the cord. It kept jamming while trying to get it out, and when trying to retract it back. After many attemps, I said forget it, this is a major problem that would likely get worse over time. It did heat up quickly, but took forever to cool down. Also filling it was somewhat akward. I returned it less than 24 hours later.

Durable, 3-way cutoff iron!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is really a nice iron! I like the fact it has a rapid cutoff feature for safety! It gets hot quickly, which is a plus for us working moms! The retractable cord is long and goes back in quickly too!
