Easy Milk Maker
Tried with a mix of walnuts and cahsews. Results were very similar to Elmhurst nut milk (which is quite pricey to buy now). Pros - Easy to make cons - the mesh/carrier is not dishwasher safe. Recipe's in the manufacturer's site are not consistant. Book says 1:3 ratio, video shows 1:4. I tried 1:3 to get these results. The milk wasn't as smooth as cows milk, you can see a little bit of granular parts in it, but it dissapears when you mix it and this happens with the other nut milk so it didn't bother me too much. You do have to assist the straining process with a spatula otherwise it get clogged up. The jar is light and is a very thin glass, I feel like it will break easily, was hoping it would be thick like the Pyrex bowls. Tip - save the solids in the mesh, mix it with some spices, olive oil and nuitritional yeast to make vegan cheese dip! Also a good blender is a must.
