Not reliable product
Clock is no longer working. Set to correct time and time jumps 3 hours overnight so can’t use the programmable feature
1 reply from Cuisinart team - 10 days ago
We're sorry to hear about the issue with your 14 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker. If the clock is gaining several hours overnight, try unplugging the unit for a few minutes, resetting the clock, and ensuring it is connected directly to a wall outlet rather than a power strip, as power fluctuations can sometimes affect electronic controls. If the issue persists, we'd be happy to review troubleshooting options and options. Please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 and reference Ticket #8901080640. Thank you for sharing your feedback; your comments are valuable to us and help us continue improving our products and consumer experience.

Coffee is good but has frustrating design flaws
It makes good coffee but has a few design flaws that can be frustrating for something I use daily. Positive: The coffee it makes is good, with the use of a paper filter. No complaints. In the end, this is the goal so that is a win. Unfortunately, design choices hamper the day to day usage of this machine. Negatives: The area where you add water is at the back of the top section. The lid that covers that area opens up to about 90 degrees which gets in the way of pouring in water from the carafe. I either risk spilling or leaving a bit in the carafe. Second, the lid to the carafe does not hinge at the back, it snaps on. Instead of easily flipping back for cleaning or filling/emptying, you have to fiddle with pulling it off and properly snapping it back on which has caused issues a couple times when I missed snapping it back on correctly. In the end, the coffee it makes is good, but the process of making coffee daily comes with some frustration due to these design flaws. If I knew how much these issues would bother me every morning, I would have NOT have purchased this machine.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Cuisinart 14 Cup Programmable Drip Coffee Maker. We're pleased to hear you're enjoying the quality of the coffee, though we're sorry that the water reservoir and carafe lid design have made daily use less convenient than expected. To help minimize spills, try pouring water slowly with the carafe positioned close to the reservoir opening and ensure the carafe lid is fully secured after cleaning before brewing. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience; we value your feedback and use insights like yours to help improve our products and consumer experience.

The coffee pot does not have an option to grind coffee beans so I was dissatisfied. Plus, I found the same brand that uses coffee grinds and grinds your coffee beans. On top of that, I got it at a cheaper price than the one I purchased at Target. Target should be ashamed of itself for charging so much.

Love the HEAT. HOT COFFEE
I love that the temperature of the coffee is very hot. My last coffee maker just could not get the coffee hot enough for my taste. I also left that you can take the canister out and pour a cup of coffee before it’s finished brewing without spilling a drop.

Not the best designed carafe!
Overall, this this coffeemaker has some very positive features and makes good coffee; however, the very poorly designed carafe is a deal breaker. Rather than a one-piece all glass carafe it's made with a plastic rim around the perimeter of the top. The plastic rim is attached to the glass in such a way that there's a thick "rim" on the inside top of the carafe that traps and collects water between the glass and plastic. It never dries and is almost impossible to dry with a dishtowel. Under these circumstances the possibility of bacteria collecting in the same way seems likely. Also poorly designed is the handle of the carafe. The handle, while comfortable, is hollow and because it lacks adequate drainage allows water to fill and leak after washing. Finally, though not as much of a problem but certainly inconvenient is the design of the carafe's lid that snaps into place, but not the easiest to remove.
1 reply from Cuisinart team - 1 month ago
We're sorry to hear that, while you are enjoying the coffee maker's brewing performance, the carafe design has not met your expectations. To help minimize retained moisture, we recommend removing the lid after washing and allowing all components to air dry completely before reassembly, as well as storing the carafe uncovered when not in use. We appreciate your detailed observations regarding the carafe rim, handle, and lid design and will share this feedback with our product team. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience—your comments are valuable and help us identify opportunities to improve future products and the overall consumer experience.

Love this Cuisinart Coffee Maker!
We replaced a coffee maker with a basic model and husband missed the timer feature so I bought this when I saw it on sale for a significant savings. I'm glad I did! We love having really quaility coffee ready for us when we get out of bed in the morning. Cuisinart deserves it's wonderful reputation.

Broken in one month.
Within 2 weeks of getting this coffee pot, the clock started acting up—it would randomly be at a different time than we’d set it to. Within a month? Not working at all. I’m so disappointed with this Cuisinart coffee pot—I expected better from this brand.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the Cuisinart 14 Cup Programmable Drip Coffee Maker. If the clock is displaying incorrect times, we recommend trying a different outlet, ensuring the unit is not connected to a switched outlet or power strip that may interrupt power, and resetting the clock according to the instruction manual. For additional troubleshooting assistance, please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190. Thank you for sharing your feedback—your comments help us improve future models and enhance the customer experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review.

Good value and consistent quality on the brew
This is our second Cuisinart DCC-3200. The first one made it just past 9 years before an electrical component failed. Also had to replace an internal hose at about the 7-8 year point. This unit makes very consistent coffee and brews at the right temp. No complaints with the new unit at all- easy to add water, pot is kept hot, has an automatic shut down, and is programmable for start time.
