    Invaluable kitchen staple for a busy mama!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome, reliable mixer! I use it multiple times weekly for dough & to cream icings and cookie ingredients. Every kitchen needs this appliance! Also loooooove the color options on these mixers, I got the buttery yellow one and it is so gorgeous in my home. My only issue has been with the standard attachments that come with it— I do not like that they are powder coated— the paint chips and flakes off over time and to me that’s not good because I don’t want paint chips in my food. Kitchenaid does however sell reasonably priced stainless steel attachments so it’s not a big deal.

    More wattage than my good old Kitchenaid

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the stir speed and the smooth power. The cord seems to be a smaller gage wire than older models, so I hope that doesn't overheat. The missing spring on the shaft is concerning and may lead to wear on the paddle attachments. Haven't tried the accessory function yet but the pot metal parts on the mixer are not as good quality as in my older model.

    A Nice Upgrade!

But after receiving this 5 quart mixer...game changer! The motor is more powerful, my whipped cream and meringues whip so much faster! I have a home-based pie bakery, so this is pretty important to me. I love my mixer!

My previous mixer, the Kitchen Aid Classic, was just not quite strong enough for the amount of bread I am making, its over 20 years old and still works like new but I didn't want to damage it so I decided to upgrade to the Artisan mixer.....WOW! What a difference! This mixer is PERFECT for my 2-3 loaves a week! it effortlessly premixes and kneads my large loaves! The motor is very quiet, no groaning from the strain. You can definitely tell the difference between the two models! Plus, Have I mentioned I am in LOVE with the color red?

    Happy with this century's model

    This new KitchenAid stand mixer replaced my 1992 mixer that was my mom’s. I passed that to my daughter and bought this new one after a week of realizing how much I used the old one. The new one works as well as the old one for mixing bread, cookies, etc. I was hoping that the Milkshake color was more white than beige, but for the Target sale, Red Card extra savings, and bowl cover with pouring spout, I’ll happily live with Milkshake (compared to the sale price at KitchenAid for a white model without the cover).

    Beware of limited warranty!

    Note that the warranty is only 1 year. We received our Artisan mixer 21/2 years ago was working great until this month where it completely stopped spinning with an attachment paddle making it unusable. Customer service basically provided no support other than ship it out of state for $35 + $25 diagnostic fee just for their team to take a look at it + anywhere from an additional $45-$200 to repair the mixer. For a mixer that is $400+ in price I was hoping for better longevity, quality and supportive customer service.

    We received this under warranty for a defective stand mixer and this one doesn't work right either. On the first 2 speeds it jumps. Something is wrong with the gear box. We have only used it a couple times and every time it makes clunking noises.
