Icy Hot seems to kind of work, but it’s not the best thing in the world. You definitely feel the hot-and-cold sensation, which makes it seem like it’s doing something, but the relief doesn’t last very long. Sometimes it works better than others, so it’s been a bit inconsistent for me. Overall, I’d say it’s pretty average — it might help a little, but I’m not sure how much it’s really doing in the long run.

Works awesome. No less like the crams. Sponge application so easy to use. Seems to last a very long time. I love the smell of icy hot!! Easy screw on cap.

Left a burn!
My husband rolled this on my neck and upper shoulders to alleviate the tightness and pain I was feeling. After a little while I started to feel a burning sensation. I assumed it was heating but it soon became unbearable. I took a cold shower and tried to get it off. The area continued to burn more severely. When I got out, I looked in the mirror and found what looked like a sunburn all over the areas that were covered with the product. We applied oil, I showered again, and applied Aloe with lidocaine. Thankfully that settled things down. I can’t imagine what could have happened if it was left on longer. 16% menthol is more than they usually have in their products and I wanted to warn others.

Burns, badly
Put this on, first application was a bit warm but nothing bad. Second application felt like I have the worst sunburn of my life and it’s constantly being pressed. I washed it off and now I cannot sleep.

Not the best for my pain
I find it hard to get any product out with the roll on applicator. It takes a lot of work to get enough on. I have an injured rotator cuff and this provides minimal relief. It does get a cool feeling for a little while but nothing great. The mess free application would be great if more could come out of each time but this just isn’t enough pain relief for me. It has the typical minty scent to it that isn’t too strong.

Convenient, effective pain relief with a clean rol
I really like how easy this product is to apply with the no mess applicator it saves me from having to get it all over my hands. The cooling and warming sensation kicks in quickly and provides noticeable relief for sore muscles after workouts. The scent is strong at first but fades after a while.It’s also compact enough to carry in a gym bag. Overall, it feels effective and convenient.

This Icy Hot worked really good, it helped reducing my ankle pain, the scent is nice, i just rolled on where my pain was, waited till it absorbed into my skin, I didn’t have to worry about making a mess. It’s worth to buy.

I really like the Icy Hot No Mess applicator—it’s easy to apply without getting the product all over my hands, and the packaging feels sturdy enough to toss in a gym bag. The scent is strong but what you’d expect from a muscle rub, and it fades fairly quickly after applying. It works effectively to relieve sore muscles and lasts a good few hours, making it great value for the price.

Burned me badly
It burned me horribly and left my skin red and irritated for hours. I had to wash it off using soap and water and then olive oil and then more soap and water. It still burns. I would be very cautious before using this product.

Chemical burns?!
Grabbed this because it seemed more convenient than the cream, but within 45 minutes it started to burn horribly. I literally had to leave work. A cold shower didn’t help. Now I have back pain AND burning skin. Thanks for nothing :)))

Totally worked
I hustled moving out of my apartment and my forearms were in so much pain that I almost went to urgent care as I thought a good night’s rest and aspirin would help. WRONG. I bought this balm and within 10 minutes I feel 80% better. An hour later, no pain at all and I can move my arms like normal. So happy to have bought this!

My first help when I have joint aches. Very comfortable packaging to carry on in the bag. Mint scent not bad. For me better than cream cause easy to apply hands wouldn't be dirty.

Horrible
I used this for the first time and my back burned so bad to the point i couldn't sleep. It was red and covered in rash. One of the worst pains I've ever felt.

Icy Hot 16% Menthol really works!
Icy Hot original No Mess roll on with 16% menthol has been a game changer. My husband has always used Biofreeze and there is only 4% Menthol in them. The 16% really is stronger and definitely makes him feel much better! I buy them when they're on sale and keep them in stock at all times! I highly suggest if you use pain relief roll-ons to give this brand Icy Hot a try!

I love this stuff! When I hurt my shoulder this stuff was my best friend. Also for my joints whenever I feel weather coming. There’s alot in there and it goes a long way! It smells strong but it’s worth it. The packaging is genius. It rolls on so easy without getting your hands dirty.

Love the packaging
My husband uses this at-least once a week from working his long hours! In less than w couple hours he’s able to already tell a difference! I love that’s it’s a roll on tube no need to get my hands covered in the gel!
