Q: Does the chrome last long, or does it corrode after time?

A: I've had this dispenser for at least three years, it gets heavy use, and the chrome finish didn't start to degrade until a few months ago. I may it again because I like how unique it looks!
submitted byAero - 5 years agoA: Love the look. Had 6 of these around the house for the past few years. All the dispensers have either turned green or some of the chrome started to chip off. I wish i could just replace and purchase new dispensers. The glasses are still in great condition.
submitted byDC Le - 5 years agoA: I’ve had a few of these for 5-8 years now and the only way to make them last is to maintain them. Clean the pump tops regularly and to clear them of clogged soap, take off the pump, immerse it in water, pump it several times until it runs clear, and then replace it.

Q: I've had to buy 2 of these because after a week it only put out little bubbles. Returned one, got the other & same thing. Have to rinse it every other use. It's like plastic tubing is taking in air. It's not usable! Don't know the fix..

A: I've been using this with regular liquid gel soap, but every couple days it stops working. I've tried thinning it with water which works a bit longer, but eventually stops again. What am I doing wrong?

Q: given the straightness of the tube that the soap comes out of, does it just shoot straight at you if you're not careful? or does it just ooze out at a more gentle pressure?

I think the look of this soap dispenser is beautiful! Unfortunately, gross brown goo comes out of the spout, and some soaps don’t come out of it easily. I’ve now bought two of these (3 years apart), and this happened to both of them. Couldn’t keep, and I have to replace with something else.

They definitely lowered the quality - I have owned several of these dispensers over the years, and needed another for dish soap. It stopped working after I refilled the soap once. Assumed it was an issue with that one, so I replaced it, and the exact same thing happened to the second dispenser. Now seeing the ither reviews I know this is clearly a thing.

I have had several of these in both sizes & have had to exchange every one I bought, finally just gave up & returned the last ones. After so many complaints in the last few years I am convinced Threshold has no intention of improving or replacing the pumps that only work for a short time.

The dispenser pump stopped working after a few uses and is a total waste of my money and time. I had purchased 2 of them for a double sink vanity and they both stopped working about the same time.

My husband has this same soap dispenser when we met. I figured it got tarnished and lost function over the years and just needed to be replaced. I love the look so I was excited to request a new one at my bridal shower. I quickly got rid of the old one and replaced with this one. I was more than disappointed when it lost its color and began to leak soap out of the pump, exactly like the previous one. I clean it off and it builds up again quickly. I don’t usually write reviews but this annoyed me so much I wanted to try to save someone else from the annoyance that is this soap dispenser.

As other reviews have already pointed out, these are junk in a number of ways. They easily clog and then just stop working. Ours worked for less than 2 months. Wish I could get a refund.

I bought one of these late last year and it seemed to work perfectly fine until I decided to clean the built up soap residue around the where the metal neck of the pump meets with base of the screw on lid. After that, it stopped pumping soap out, so I figured I had messed something up with the pressure and the dispenser's ability to pull soap up into the nozzle. I tried messing with it to fix it, but ultimately decided to buy a brand new one, figuring I had somehow broken my previous one. I bought the same exact one which was a mistake because only after a few short weeks, the new dispenser started messing up and doesn't dispense the soap with ease. It spurts everywhere and I have to give it a few good pumps before anything will come out, if at all. It is a very beautiful bottle and that's why I had repurchased it, but have since found out that due to the design or the quality of gasket seal they used in production, it is guaranteed to stop working. I'm very in love with the look and aesthetics of it, but save your money because it WILL stop working.

Ugh, the silver dispenser part started to corrode fairly quickly and you have to push the pump several times to get anything out. Sad because it’s cute, but it’s going in the trash and trying something else. Save your money on this one.
