    Hello Elin! We are sorry to hear that the Colorista 1-Day Hair Color Spray was difficult to wash out and left your hair feeling chalky. This formula is designed as a temporary "hair makeup" that coats the outside of the hair fiber with pigment, which can result in a more textured or chalky feel depending on how much product is applied. If your hair is naturally very blonde, porous, or has been chemically treated, the pigments can sometimes "stain" the surface more deeply, making it take more than one wash to remove completely. To help remove the color more effectively, we suggest using a clarifying shampoo and massaging it thoroughly into the areas where the spray was applied, followed by a nourishing conditioner. To avoid a heavy or chalky texture in the future, try applying the spray in very short, light bursts from at least six inches away and then brushing through the section to distribute the pigment more evenly. Your feedback is very important to us as it helps us improve the user experience for our temporary color innovations.

    I've gotta have it!!!

    I use this on my roots as they grow out between salon visits. It covers my grays and my natural dirty dishwater color. I keep a can at all times. Don't know what I'd do without it!

    Dyes scalp for weeks

    Used on my nieces hair. It dyes the hair bright pink but a month and a half later, her scalp is still pink. No joke! Whatever you do, do not get any of this on any skin, it will be with you for months. Washes out of the hair with one shampoo though

    Fun for a Day, Easy to Use — But Fades Fast

    My wife tried the L’Oreal Colorista 1-Day Hair Color Spray for a quick change-up, and overall it worked well for what it is. The application was simple, the color showed nicely at first, and it was great for a one-day event. She liked that it didn’t feel heavy or sticky once it dried. The only downside is that the color doesn’t last long at all or even all day — it starts to fade pretty quickly, especially if you touch your hair or are out and about for a while. Washes out easily though, which is a plus. Good for temporary fun or themed events, just don’t expect it to hold strong all day.

    Messy but bright

    I used this spray on my daughter who dressed up as Rumi for Halloween. I braided it some synthetic hair and then used this on her natural hair. Overall it has great color payoff and lasts until you wash it off, although it will rub off on fabric and skin. It also stained her scalp for several weeks after we used it. I bought this in a pinch but I think I would opt for something else if I were to do it all over again.

    Just be careful! You will have residue for days!

    I used the blue 1 day hair color spray to complete a Halloween costume. It has taken more than 1 shampoo to get it all out. It is 2 days past Halloween and I am on shampoo #8. I've used a clarifying shampoo and have added baking soda, as well. The suds, after 8 washes, are still a light blue.

    TERRIBLE - doesn't wash out!

    DOES NOT RINSE OUT OF HAIR! I washed my hair 10 times (literally); my hair is still pink. I had to cut my hair and get color correction. I thought it was simply because I have color treated hair but my friend with black non-color treated hair had to wash 7 times and it’s still not out of her hair. Also bleeds onto everything you touch.

    TERRIBLE PRODUCT

    DO NOT BUY THIS SPRAY. I sprayed this in my hair for halloween and it literally got EVERYWHERE. Even though I waited for it to "dry" as it said on the bottle. IT TRANSFERRED EVERYWHERE. My jacket was stained, my hands were stained blue, the carseat was stained blue, when I was posing for pictures, my hair transferred the blueness to my friends NECK. It was everywhere. The cleaning process was even worse. When I tell you, i scrubbed my scalp 3 times, I went to blow dry my hair and it was extremely dry and chalky. I decided to go scrub my head ANOTHER 3 TIMES, WOKE UP AND IT IS STILL BLUE. As I am currently sitting here writing this review, my hands are still stained blue, my hair is still super dry and chalky, and currently making plans to scrub my head another 3 times in hopes of getting this spray OUT OF MY HEAD.

    Color Does Not Wash Out

    This does not come out after one day. We sprayed my daughter‘s hair in the morning, and when she washed it later that day, it did not come out. We used the pink color in her hair and it is still pink, after multiple washes. Now I have to try and find a specialty product to get the color out of her hair. If you don’t need the color to come out the same day or next day, it works well, but if you think the color is going to wash out in one day, it will not. I gave it three stars because the color is nice and bright, but be warned that it does not wash out after one day.
