Do not buy
I have read and followed the directions and I cannot get this thermometer to take a temp. My child who has a fever is getting a "Low" or "error" reading. I've tried it on myself and I get the same readings. I've tried the forehead scan and ear scan.

Beware
I’m not sure I would even give it a one star. So disappointed and ultimately dangerous especially if using on children. Inaccurate readings. Ended up in the ER with a kidney infection running a 101 degree temp despite the thermometer reading 98.6 over and over. Do not buy. Spend a little more for a better one. Will give credit for design versatility but what’s the point of the reading is inaccurate.

Inaccurate Readings
Inconsistent and Inaccurate readings. temperature always displays low. got a reading of 96 from this thermometer, checked with an under tongue thermometer and got repeated readings of 102. You can't even count on it being consistently wrong.... it's just all over the place.

Don’t buy this, it isn’t accurate. Will check forehead and temp will read below average and then check ear and be around average, then checked behind ear or of curiosity and temp read high… so not helpful at all. Will be returning.

Not accurate at all. Took the temp in the same spot 3 times have would get 98.7, 100.9, and 102.3 How am I suppose to know which is the right one?!

This thermometer is the most wacky thermometer I've ever used. I do three temperature scans every time I use this because they are always so sporadic. it's told me that my temperature was 105° at one point in time and then on a different part of my head it told me that the temperature was 95°. if you want a thermometer with a temperature you can trust, don't use this thermometer.

Inconsistent Readings
As others have said - inconsistent readings. I follow the directions and make sure no hair is in the way, that the thermometer is placed correctly, etc. but I still got wild variations. Two nights ago I got a reading of 103, was very worried, then got readings of 101 seconds later. Tonight I got a reading of 102.1 then 101 something, then 109 something, then 99 something. At this point I don't trust this thermometer at all and we've only had it 7 months.

Not a good product
I have used many kinds of thermometers over the years, electronic and non-electronic. This is the worst one I've used. Every reading is dramatically different, up and down, taken within seconds or minutes. It doesn't matter.
