A: Thank you for your interest in our products. Our Rubbermaid TakeAlongs Meal Prep Containers are made of materials that are safe for freezer use. Please note that plastics are less flexible when cold or frozen and may break if dropped. Also note that water expands when frozen, so when filled to capacity the container could expand and crack. Q: Can these containers be vacuum sealed?

These are made of microwave safe materials that can be used to reheat precooked foods to the proper recommended temperature. These containers are not intended for cooking. Q: What is the height of a single both with lid attached? I am seeing the measurements as 6.6 inches high, but that seems more like the entire package.

A: Our Take Alongs Meal Prep Containers are safe for serving hot foods but not for transporting them because the heat might build pressure that can cause leakage. However, food inside can be heat in the microwave since the TakeAlongs Containers are safe inside the microwave. Thank you so much!

Too big
It was my mistake for assuming these would be similarly sized to other meal prep containers but they’re massive. I don’t need anywhere near 5 cups worth of food for lunch and I doubt they’ll fit in my lunch box. I really wanted bowls and wanted to stick with the Rubbermaid brand but I don’t see that they make a smaller size so I’ll have to go with something else. They do seem to be decent quality for cheap meal prep containers but I doubt they’ll last very long and seem a bit pricey for only 8 of them. And they could’ve added 2 more to make it enough for a work week, 8 seems like a weird number.

Not rectangular...
...these are round so if like me you prefer rectangular containers, be forewarned. They are however a decent quality and plenty big.

Great for storage

These Rubbermaid take along bowls hold so much!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 4-pack of Rubbermaid black take alongs that I received free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review are my new favorite things! They hold a lot more than what you can tell from the picture. I used them for food I was taking to Christmas dinner. One held an entire fresh pineapple that I cut up. I put spinach dip in another one. And I had a lot of hand dipped chocolate pretzels in the last one. I was so pleased with how much food you could get into one bowl. They opened and closed very easily. And of course they washed up really well. They would be perfect to take a salad for lunch. I highly recommend these. I would also buy them for myself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a bit of a container freak and i somehow didn’t have any this size this is perfect for salads and pasta and honestly anything but I’ve been getting so much use out of them and they haven’t discolored at all or anything very happy with them! Haven’t had any spills or leaking either which is a big plus!

Convenient To go containers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are very convenient to bring to family gatherings such as Thanksgiving and Christmas to bring home leftovers in, or to have on hand to send home with others and not have to worry about getting them back. Each tub holds around 5 cups of food, so you can make individual meals in each one or fill them individually with each food item. They are dishwasher safe on top rack only, can be frozen, and microwavable, but because they are plastic, I wouldn't recommend doing any of those personally for health reasons.

There are 4 bowls in a package, good for family use. They are also easy to wash. I am not sure if the pasta sauce would stain the boxes because they are black color.

Amazing Storage Containers!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These storage containers are amazing!! They work really well. I packaged Turkey Roast with broth into one of them. Brought it to where I was going and back home. It had toppled over multiple times and just sat like that and did not leak even one time. They are big and can hold multiple servings of whatever food you put in. I will definitely buy these in the future.
