Q: Why does the on/off bitton not depress?

submitted by Jim McLeroy - 1 year ago
  • A: only works with a fresh salt pod. If you open the pod tray you need to use a new salt pod before you close the lid again or the button won't work.

submitted bybill - 8 months ago
  • A: The on/off button issues stem from having no Salt-Pod inserted in the crushing chamber, having it inserted incorrectly, or salt crystal buildup. Please call us at (800) 203-6400 for assistance.

Q: Does this cause pain ? It kind of creeps me out! Does it feel weird?

submitted by Redheads2cool - 5 months ago
  • A: Navage should not cause pain. Actually, you'll hardly feel anything during the irrigation cycle. Best of all, nasal irrigation provides the immediate benefit of a clean nose and relief from sinus congestion.

Q: Will using the Navage system resolve (or at least improve) snoring while sleeping?

submitted by Jim S - 7 months ago
  • A: Most snoring is caused by sinus congestion that is in turn caused by dry air, dust, allergens and germs. Our customers have reported that Navage can help with snoring by flushing the sinuses to remove obstructions and reduce swelling, allowing air to pass freely through the nose.

Q: Can the direction of flow be switched or does it always suction on the same side and irrigate through the other?

submitted by Anna - 7 months ago
  • A: The nasal dock rotates freely in both directions (right-to-left and left-to-right). When you rotate the nasal dock 180 degrees, the saline will flow in the opposite direction.

Q: Can you add aloe to the tank for moisture

submitted by Sandy - 8 months ago
  • A: It is not recommended to add aloe to the tank for moisture. Using Navage will moisten and moisturize the inside of your nose which will reduce or eliminate the congestion you're suffering and resolve other symptoms as well.

My doctor recommended I use Navage. I was skeptical. All I could think of was the old nettie-pots, which turned me off. But I got a Navage and began using it. What a wonderful product. Without question, it helps my morning congestion and calms down the puffiness caused by unhappy sinuses.

If you have polyps go to a doctor and get them removed this device doesn't cure them and definitely doesn't work if you have them . Absolutely no reason to use it every day not what its for , stuffed up from allergies or a little cold or dust from mowing things like that it will deep clean the mucus and your good to go . Great thing to have instead of constantly blowing your nose .

I make wood furniture and, after making some tables in February with western red cedar and not doing a great job of dust collection, I've had issues ever since. I have been congested or extremely runny nose and mostly haven't been able to taste for the past 5 months—it hasn't been great. After a friend recommended this silly looking nose vacuum, I wasn't convinced but after another couple weeks of congestion and not tasting (and my ENT appointment not being till October), I figured I'd give it a try. The first couples of days I pretty much had no results, but on your instructions it says something about "persistence ". So I persisted, following the directions, and today—this glorious day :)—things started to flow. It must have gotten all the irritants out, because I immediately stopped being congested and haven't sneezed since. Truly thank you. I'll recommend it on plenty of woodworking forums where people discuss problems related to dust

The batteries do not last long enough

There should be an early warning button to indicate batteries need to be replaced because when you have already filled the unit and the batteries you have to empty the machine. This happens every two weeks and I think that is a little stupid.

Target sold me a used one which is unacceptable. It’s gross and negligent. How do you not check a device like navage when someone returns it.

Been using this for 10 months now. Twice a day. Twice in the morning rotating sizes. And the same before bed . CONSISTENTLY doing this daily, you will see results. My nasal polyps have either remained exactly the same or have got slightly smaller.

My Navalge unit failed within 6 weeks and the company pretends "no way our product is at fault". I successfully used my unit for 3 or 4 weeks. On about the 5th week, the unit would only work about half way through the cycle, the suction feature was week. This was for about 3 days. Ever since, from the moment I turn the unit on, the drain creates a backflow of turbulence into the upper tank that it causes the saline solution to expel through the crushing chamber. I have ask permission to return the unit several times and Navalge makes excuses not allowing the return of the unit for inspection. Very frustrated with their customer service and I've got a unit less than 60 days old that does not work.

Opened box?

One of the boxes was opened and one of the saline pods was removed. Packing materials as well as owner's manual are gone. While I don't blame the deliver person (I did tip him for his service), it shouldn't have gotten to his deliver bag at the store with the damage to the box. Whoever pulled the order at the store is responsible. If the deliver person pulled the order, shame on him. The photos show various differences between the packages.

Highly effective and efficient

IENNJN - 5 months ago, Verified purchaser
This is such a genius device that effectively removes congestion in the sinus. We have used manual nasal cleaning tools which can often result in unnecessary saline water in your throat, this completely avoids this problem! It is very easy to use and relatively easy to clean. Something to note is to purchase nasal inserts that are tailored to the size of your nostrils as some are not conducive to the standard size that is included. This leads to a more comfortable and effective removal.

Never have gotten over a cold or flu so fast

I wanted to try Navage, but the cost was high for me. I signed up for a store perk that gave me a discount, and bought it. You often wonder if the hype of commercials is what you will get. This time, YES! The initial cost of this product and the pods are well worth it in terms of saving you time from work and feeling better fast, but it is still out of reach for some folks, so I hope that in time Navage will lower the cost so that everyone can benefit. I used to get a cold a couple of times per year that would last months due to asthma. Now, the moment I start to feel a sinus infection coming on, I start using the Navage. I blow my nose until nothing else is coming out, then I do the Navage. When I start, I close one nostril and breath through the other, and then switch, to see which nostril is the most inflamed. I start the Navage so the blue arrow points into the nostril that is less inflamed. When the water is over half gone, I stop the Navage, blow my nose, then twist so the flow goes the other way. Getting all of that out of your sinuses means that the bacteria and viruses are not at home in your sinuses, multiplying and spreading to your lungs so easily. I mean, I don't have a medical explanation, but the result is that I get over a cold in a few days now, instead of over a month it used to take. I just had a flu that had me knocked out for a day, but I was using the Navage the day before, and on the day I was sickest I used it every few hours. I only had that one bad day! I did not end up with lung congestion or asthma this time! Another tip: I use filtered water that I bring to a full boil for several moments before turning off, but waiting for it to cool takes time, so I now use a clean kettle, boil a lot of water, and then when it is cool, I just pour some in a glass measuring cup that I pre-sanitized, and I heat in the microwave until it is just warm enough for my sinuses.

After using the unit once, I found that the back of my throat and my nose were both quite dry, almost painfully so. But that is the point, to dry things up. You may want to have a small glass of water after using.

Not for chronic congestion or very stuffy noses

1 out of 5 stars
Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend
Ketchupqueen - 7 months ago, Verified purchaser
Does not work if you have chronic congestion, the pressure is not enough to push the water though. I have severe allergies and congestion to the point where I can’t breathe out of my nose whatsoever, the water just kept pooling in my nose because of the congestion. Stick with the neti pot bottle that you can squeeze. Now I’m stuck with a $100 product that if returned it’ll be thrown away.

Someone recommended this to me when I got sick a few weeks ago. After a few days of suffering with a horrible sinus infection and congestion, I started using this with the intent of getting antibiotics if it didn't work. During the days of worse sinus infection, I used it 3-4 times a day and it flushed out all the mucous along with what ever was making me sick. Never had to go to doctor for antibiotics. I went down to using it twice daily and now once a day only because of the winds. . My sinuses feel great. This little gadget is powerful and gets the job done. Well with the money I paid. Thank you!
