item was trashed as it was too sticky and leaves residue coating on hands no matter how little you use. I'd skip this totally.

The Curldaze glossy shine gel, will leave you with a little bit of flake when it dries if too much is used. When used correctly on clean hair, my 4C hair twist out was without any shine. Use a little oil as you untwist and it's perfect and soft.

This product made my hair feel hard and flakes when dried. It does not mix well with edge control and will leave a crusty residue as you can see in the photo.

I purchased this gel for my daughter who has strong 4c hair. We weren't sure how it would work out but, she loves it. Her curls are very defined and popping. She didn't have to soak her hair with water to apply it and is spread through her hair really smoothly and evenly. Also it has a great smell. Side note: IF you don't like crunchy curls this gel is not for you but, if you do like crunch in your curls give this a try. You won't be disappointed.

I feel like gel like this is only useful for people who are trying to obtain a fixed hair style, such as someone who is trying to get their hair to stand and uses gel to hold in that position. It’s terrible to use for a wash and go, it leaves your hair stiff, hard, and dry feeling. My hair didn’t move at all. It also didn’t define my curls that well.

Literally just buy it, I would recommend as a sealing product after applying leave in conditioner and curl cream for a beautiful cast.

I love this product and use it on my myself and my clients. Most of the negative reviews are from not using the product properly. 1-You are supposed to use apply the product on WET hair, meaning fresh out of the shower dripping wet hair. If your hair is drying up by the time you apply the product, spray it down again with your water bottle. 2- use a little product per section. Do not glob it on like regular gel. Too much product will result in flaky hair. It should turn kind of foamy when you are applying. Use 20% product, 80% water. This will save you money and make your jar last longer. 3- after your hair is completely dry you are supposed to break up the cast aka crunchy/ramen noodle hair. Get some oil on your hands, take some sections and let your palms run over your hair from roots to ends and fluff. Kind of like your trying to make a ponytail but there is no hair tie. Try not to break up your curls with your fingers and fluff/scrunch. Use a pick or your hands for more volume at the root. You will create unnecessary frizz if you separate the curls too much. Hope this helps. The only thing I hate is that it’s ALWAYS sold out!

This product was all the rage on social media and was sold out EVERYWHERE for months. So, when it finally restocked, I bought 2! I quickly learned that this product's best delivery was in the hype behind it. It's Mielle from now on for me.

My new favorite gel! I have thicker curly hair and live in Houston. This gel lasted the whole day and left a light crunch to my hair. My hair also didn’t really shrink up that much once it dried.

I like the smell of it, however, it made made my sister's hair crunchy (she's 3c) and didn't do anything at all for my hair (4c hair). Would not recommend.
