Q: There's plastic inside the kettle on the pour spout and strainer. I removed the strainer, but can't get the plastic pour spout off. Is this removable?

The clear material on the water level indicator is made of TPX Polymethylpentene the characteristics are similar to those of traditional polyolefins TPX features superb clarity, transparency, gas permeability, heat and chemical resistance and release qualities. Q: How do you clean the inside. I've tried to scrub with a bottle brush and I can't get between all the crevices. Can't scrub the calcium build up off the bottom either. This is so frustrating. Help.

    Good sturdy tea kettle

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great electric tea kettle. I just wish it would stay on longer. I refill my tea several times each morning, having to turn it back on a couple of times. This all happens within 1 hour. It should have a "keep warm" or "hold" button. Other than that, it works great!

    Fast, easy to use, and perfect for tea.

    I use this kettle all the time and really love how quick and easy it is. The different temperature settings are especially useful for tea, and it heats water fast without being complicated or having to wait 5 minutes for the water to boil. It’s also sturdy and and looks nice sitting on the counter. Definitely one of my go to appliances.

    Great - until it wasn't

    I have had this kettle for ~ 5 years and really enjoyed it. I appreciated the speed and the temperature control. Until it started leaking from the bottom of the handle creating a ring to a puddle of water on the charging base representing a serious shock hazard. My mom has had a Cuisinart food processor for 30+ years and I trusted this brand for longevity... especially since it isn't a cheap kettle.

    Great performance

    Excellent product and highly recommended. This was a replacement for an identical unit purchased 6 years ago, which was used everyday - big tea drinker! Started leaking about a month ago so needed to replace. Trust the brand, unit works well so far - expecting same results as the 2020 unit!

    Love the temperature settings

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love using our new kettle with the different preset temp settings so we can choose it for green tea, oolong, coffee, etc. It is an upgrade from our old kettle that stopped working. I like having the option to keep warm. We have it for a couple months now and my main complaint is that the lid no longer opens fully for refilling water. I need to use my hand to pull it open. Not sure if it’s a design issue or our unit only. We use our pot daily for coffee and tea. Also, please be aware the kettle is hot to the touch as it’s not insulated. Will still buy it for a reputable brand.

    Great purchase

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this for a little over 3 months. We bought it because we are going thru a compete kitchen renovation. My wife drinks a lot of tea. Without a stove that would have been impossible. She was a little leery about it but as luck would have it, it turned out to be the best purchase ever. It heats up the water in very little time. I would say actually less time than her original tea pot on the stove top. It works perfectly. Looks great on the counter top.

    Perfect for tea time

    Fantastic for tea connoisseurs. Heats the water to just the right temperature to make that perfect cup of tea, steeped just right. Perfect for anytime tea. And it being cordless is a plus, you brew the water and can take it out the the patio to enjoy the sunrise, just how I start my day off beautifully. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

    In a Top-Notch Class by Itself

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am thrilled with my Cuisinart electric kettle. It has all the features that are important to me. Foremost, I wanted a kettle with push button start and individual buttons for the 6 preset temperatures. It’s important for me to feel and hear the mechanical motion of a button. Also the 360 degree rotating base allows me to turn the kettle in any direction without having to lift it up. This kettle heats a little more than 7 cups of water which is fantastic and heats the water to a boil relatively fast. Also it has a wide spout that lets me easily pour hot water without worrying about dribbles. Just by looking at the kettle and then lifting it you can tell it’s durable. It has all the features you expect from an electric kettle with the added features of push button controls. To me touch screens and water are not a good mix. Lastly the cord is sufficiently long with a heavy duty gauge.

    Perfect for French Press

    Difficult to clean

    It is difficult to clean. I put my tea bag in the kettle to make the tea but it is too narrow to reach in and wash it. The tea also stains the area where it shows the amount of water in the pot. The 'stay warm' function seems to work for just a short period of time.

    Smashing kettle

    This Cuisinart Kettle is a great upgrade from a standard kettle. I really like the preset temperature settings, as they make it easy to get the right temperature for different hot drinks. The capacity is ideal for everyday and regular use. The stainless steel finish gives it a nice premium look.
