I have three dogs, one of which enjoys the feeling of freedom running through his fur… that being said we try to keep his wandering to a bare minimum and PetSafe Stubborn Dog offers a great solution for others in my boat! The installation process is easy enough and this kit comes with 500 feet of wire so it can cover up to 1/3 of an acre. My yard is a bit bigger, so I wouldn’t need a kit that offers more space to allow

My dogs didn’t know how to stay in the yard and after getting this fence they learned real quick where the property line is! I only used about 100 feet of this but I could still add more if I wanted too! ( or if I had the yard for it) I definitely recommend for people with a stubborn dog!

While the Petsafe in ground fence is effective, the collar is so large I’m concerned with my dog wearing the collar very often. My pup weighs approx 40lbs and I can’t imagine her trying to sleep with this collar on. The weight of it causes the receiver to constantly hang below her chin, making sleeping look very uncomfortable. Does it work as intended? Yes. Will I use it? Rarely due to the large size. Maybe it would work better for larger dogs.

This great, especially with no fenced-in yard and puppy, doesn't have to be tied on a leash. You bury the wire. It comes with training. You can expamd the use up to 25 acres. This one comes with up to a 1/3 an acre. It's perfect for our puppy. Our dog can roam the entire backyard. He doesn't get out. No more chasing him down the neighborhood.

My stubborn escape artist has figured out ways around the system, or maybe she's just immune to the collar. She will sometimes cross the boundary line and it's like nothing is even there to stop her.

However, now I have the peace of mind that my pitbull will not run around the neighborhood and get into trouble or danger. Earlier this week, when I let him out, there was a cat less than 10 feet away. He quickly chased him for a few seconds and stopped immediately when the cat ran out of the yard. Perfect! The best thing about this particular necklace is that it works with 9-volt batteries. If you read reviews about other PetSafe collars, people complain a lot about the patented battery. The fact that I use 9 volts is great. I haven't even replaced it in 6 months of use. As a result, this necklace is bulky and heavy. I take it off every time my dog is at home. The actual piece of the necklace is not very high quality and I could imagine replacing it in the future if a clip breaks or something like that. : it works! Your dog will stay in the yard. - It uses 9 volt batteries and has good battery life. - The highest correction is probably too strong, but it works on large or aggressive dogs.
